I would imagine it was the few pre-organized clans that were able to buy land plots for cities. But in all honesty the first thing I close in Darkfall is the Chat window bub. Once again, the only thing I heard of was training mobs into lava and then looting the bodies. But I can't verify that this is true. I didn't see it with my own eyes. I don't say stuff that other people are speculating about is true unless I witness it. Or the mobs that wouldn't attack back, but once again, I PERSONALLY DID NOT WITNESS THIS. I did hear that one time Obama was seen eating at a cafe with Bin Laden. But now that I think about it, I think somebody who didn't like Obama told me that.
I didn't see any sync problems on my game when I was in the city on a roof. So everyone lied that there was an issue with sync. EVEN THE DEVS. I have proven that it did not exist because I did not see it with my own eyes.

This is a competitive mmo, personally I don't think they have any choice but to wipe. The balance of the game has been unnaturally shifted and the only way to make it a fair start is to wipe.
Not just the exploiting mind you but there were many human chars that had to delete their characters with thousands of gold on them because of the crash bug.

because your first month will make or break your game. Look at games like VG, AOC, EQ2, AO, and a few others.
EQ2 is one of the best MMORPGS around
VGs world is second to none.
AOC had great promise and amazing graphics and sound
(never played AO so cant comment)
all of these games share the same commonality, all had a horrific launch, all are great games, but either continued to lose subs, or are tried very hard to make a comeback and are still suffering from their launch.
The Biggest problem with new players in anarchy online is that the learning curve is to high. Most people wont bother learning the game to be actualy able to enjoy it.

With clans like LOD and many others exploiting the bleep out of the sync issue the server is already compromised. The opening day catered to cheaters and now 13 citys are already claimed. There is no competition any more due to the rocky launch and futher more, we cannot voice our opinions due to the official forums being down. I dont know about you guys, but when i asked my race alliance wether or not they wanted a wipe, 90 percent were all for it.
