Hey, I just opened DF and it downloads some patch (1035). When I try to install it it says 'Not enough disc space in drive. Make sure you have 9GB free space..' or something like that. Thing is, I have 16GB free.
I heard there was a fix for this? What it is?

if your just now installing the 1035 patch, you MUST have over 9.2gigs free on your c drive where your swap files are to run that ptach
Well my C drive has my windows installation, and only 2GB free. But Darkfall is installed on the E drive, so why does it need the C drive? is there anyway to make it run from the E drive? Because I can't clear up 9GB on my C drive...
there is another post on this forum thats tells you how to fix the problem.
It is a reg key under
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/installer
I think then under Componants and producs
DO a search under each for darkfall and delete that entry.
When yo do a search I am not 100% if you can delete what if finds you will ahve to go back manually and match up the number of the folder and delete it then
This worked 100% for me..
IF you search on the froums you should find the post that details its a lot better than me as I am just trying to remember off the top of my head )
Oh yeah if you not happy playing with your registry leave it alone lol

So basically, the patch uses a Temp Cache on your computer to save and copy files that are updated, if you don't have enough space the patch loses it's integrity for some reason. I think it's just a bug really. Anyway, there is a path stored in your registry where you can change the swap path.
Hey,
Thanks for the help but I didn't really get you . You said there was a topic about this already. Well I searched and the search always comes back with 0 results...maybe you could please link me to the thread? Did you post in the thread? I could look up your old posts.
nothign to do with temp files, mabye the user account appdata folder that is hidden inside the user account.
All my temp folders and swap fiels are on a seperate drive with more than enough space.
The problem is those 2 reg files i mentioned
Ok I deleted the entry you tols me to and some other keys, now it works. Thanks a lot

You know you have deleted the right registry keys when the patch suggests to install itself to the default location ("C:Program FilesDarkfall" or something). Then, change the path to your chosen path (at or E: or whatever, and it works). I've done this on two separate computers (with small C:/Windows partition), and it works.
