Something you should know about the "haters".
Most of us don't hate this game. I'd be willing to argue that most of us even participated in beta and have been following the game for a while. We're just disappointed. Disappointed that a lot of the best features didn't make it to release, disappointed that the servers aren't stable and it's way too hard to buy an account.
Most of all we're disappointed that Aventurine is pretty much ignoring us when we've done nothing but provide valuable feedback throughout development and beta, only to see the game released in the sorry state it's in now.

You are absolutely right. Except a couple obvious trolls, no one is a hater here and plenty of people have posted constructively.
Problem is. For some of these fanbois Darkfall seems to have become some religion or their whole life and they go to any length to defend their religion. If their lives depend on it.

Most of the Haters were not in beta, most admitted as much lol. Most of the haters hate DFO period, no reason needed. It's fine if you wish to represent yourself in this Gamer but I wouldn't lump yourself in with the haters and try to advocate them lol.

But we haven't been on other game's forums for years trolling on how their games SUCKZ and how Darkfall is going to be the WTFPWN game that's gonna kill theirs when it launches.
Ever wondered how and why Darkfall suddenly came into the big picture and got so much attention and attracked so much negativity? EDIT: Next to Tasos's marvelous PR skills ofcourse.

I totally agree with the original post, I do not "hate" the game because i want to spoil someones fun. I dont give a flyin' fuck about you, GrayGhost, or anyone else tbh.
But I DID take a day off from work to play Darkfall on its "release" day, and all i got - was a day of frustration.
I write it not because i hate the game, i am VERY interested in this game. So are 99% of the ppl posting negative feedback. Why in the world would i waste even a minute of my life on posting about something i dont care about???
I really hope that DF will go up from that FAIL they call a"release", so i can finally play it! But now i a going to wait for a month before buying it, to see how they handle the bugs and such..

DFO from most beta testers point of view is a good game. You don't agree which is fine. Everyones allowed there opinion. Then you are stating you aren't among the haters either. Again, If you simply do not enjoy the game or have issues about this or that, then that doesn't make you a hater. A hater here is someone that simply trolls relentlessly, attacks those that do enjoy the game, and never had any intention of trying the game out in the first place lol. There's a bit of a difference between a hater and what you guys are claiming to be.

You can read back my whole post history and you will see that I have never said Darkfall is some shitty game.
The only thing I have been very critical about is Aventurine's way of practicing Bussiness and some of the over-religous fanbois that pulled the blood underneath my nails.
I have coped with these religous idiots trolling the forums of the MMO's I have been playing over the last couple years.
So you don't have to tell me anything. As I have experienced it all first hand myself. Thanks.
I think most Darkfall Haters are most upset that they arnt playing the game right now. Like a baby crying for his bottle. They will only quiet down when pacified by getting in

How is that an artificial world? I got sucked into this whole hater versus fan one day by Arcken to be percise because I simply said posted in a thread discussing DFO "Man, I can't wait for this game to release" where I was promptly told how Horrid I and the community was, how I was following Tasos on blind faith, How I wore rose coloured glasses, how DFO was going to fail, how I should grow a brain and quit following some Vaporware like it was the holy grail of MMO's etc. I actually had to double check to make sure I was indeed on the DFO forums lol.
Sorry mate, there are those that have done wrong on both sides of the fence. There have been some overzealous fans, I grant that. I haven't seen much of them here on this forum, and I don't frequent other forums. I pretty much spend my posting time here, my clan forum or on the DFO official forums. So maybe thats why I haven't ran into many of them. What I have ran into many of are pure haters and trolls, that seem to live here. Looking for anything they can possibly find to bash those that like the game, and AV, and DFO.
I laughed each and every day I was called a blind fanboi that lacked facts, simply because I was in beta and knew those that lashed out at me were truly lacking facts lol. But thats beside the point.
The point is, here on the DFO forums, there are few Fans that truly go overboard. What there is a great deal of are hater and trolls. If you wish to battle those trolling other forums, I would recomend doing that on those other forums as I have been doing here. Counter with facts, try to remain intellegent and respectful, and don't let it bother you.
If you wish to label yourself a hater, then know who your lumping yourself in with. Arcken, Tenspotting and Random_Mage are a few examples. According to the replies you guys have given these are not people you should be lumped in with, yet your here saying you wish to be lumped in with them. This boggles my mind, but if it is truly what you wish.
No I do not live in an artificial world, yet it would appear you do. You see the fans doing all this on other forums.......... I see the haters and trolls on this forum. If you frequent this forum it isn't hard to spot them unless you are simply in denial. I on the other hand only freguent this forum, and other forums related to DFO considering at this time it is my game of choice.
Or you have no idea what you are talking about and sound rather immature while doing so.

Getting pissy over a few release bumps in a video game is nonsense. Get out of your house and go for a walk and think about your life. You are getting pissy over the wrong things.
When you get excited about any upcoming mmo, you have to take into consideration how you want your game experience to be. You wait for 2 months after release and you get the major bugs ironed out, the game running smoothly , etc. But no... you want to be there at server birth. Well server birth in any newly released game = downtime, bugs, crashes. No matter which game you are looking at.. thats the way it is.
Adventurine, like any game developer is working round the clock to straighten everything out. Cut them some slack if you want to play the game now or wait a few weeks. You can't have it both ways.

Most of us so called 'haters' are nothing more than skeptics looking for answers and accurate info about the game through the whole 8 years of development. What we got instead was the "lrn2google" and "Nothing is changing cause they dont need to" which we now know was BS.
Most of us just didnt like the iron curtain act that Aventurine was using. Half truths and whole lies seemed to be all that we could get from the company about their game. When someone would ask Tasos a simple question such as "How is the beta process going these days?" he would dance around the question with an answer of "We are more ready and feature complete than most if not all MMOs currently on the market. We could launch today" only to finally see that after 8 years of development they are pretty much at an early beta state. The never stressed the servers, their billing is being handled inhouse and not by GlobalCollect (because I think if it were, billing would be working as it does in EvE and not like it was the Challenger launch we have here right now.)
We are labled as 'haters' because we are not as willing to bend over and take it from Tasos as many others seem to be. We just always wanted actual truth, even if the truth was bad news, because even that would show the company has integrity. Instead what we get is a company that acts like a shady used car dealership.
There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
The game that Aventurine had created does not Suck, by extension Aventurine does not suck when it comes to creating a game.
But man, Aventurine leaves much to be desired in other areas.
Pre-Order, account management, billing being down days before release, after 12 years of MMORPG history...is..well, just unnaceptable and shows what a bunch of Noobs they are in that area.
I bet the Billing Server was setup in Tasos's office with a DSL connection.
I don't blame em, I kinda gathered they are out or very low on money they had a very limited budged for what DFO is offering compared to all the other Companies making MMORPG's..yet there are some things that pop up on the eyes.
Ok we can understand budget limitations, low bandwidth no money to launch with 20 server clusters, etc etc.
But not being able to have invested a couple of hours "LAST YEAR" to make an updated version of the Website with account Links or just to remove that "Join Beta" banner and say "hey game has launched"...you know, makes one wonder, and tell volumes on how things will be handled in the future, and that is not excusable.
it is not as if they Released UO, the first Game, and have room for mistakes, of such nature, there has been 12 years, the DFO devs themselves played UO and many other Games, Tasos worked for other companies, even Microsoft (which may make Crappy blue Screen unsecure Software at times), yet, knows everything about professionalism.
And that, yes amounts to dissapointment, the OP used the right word...Aventurine Dissapointed many of its potential followers..and customers.
So you know, we are afew days from Total War: Empires release, I'll play that for a couple of months and when I had my fill I will come back to DFO and buy and play the game, when it has less issues and is out of "Payed Beta" phase, it may even have NA servers too...seems to be the less frustrating thing to do right now, and Because I know DFo will be fun, I am just not in to getting frustrated while trying to have fun, been there done that, leaving this experience for the younglings now who think, being first, actually means something in a game that will go on for years to come.

There is nothing anyone wants more than a game with the concept of darkfall as it is ON PAPER to succeed, as it is what the industry needs to break out of the current mold of clones.
No, I never had any intention of buying the game since 2008, simply because I'm done with fantasy type games. But a game of this sort is important to the industry.
AV is a company with ZERO humility and really needs to try a slice of humble pie. After multiple years of arrogance and lies there is no excuse for the state it is in, or the terrible launch. You and the other zealot scilon fanbots are the haters and the trolls and whatever other words you want to throw out. Because some people live to bitch. Not saying you do, your post is very nice actually and explains why you are mad and I would be mad too if I had taken a day off, which I almost did. I was mad for awhile because my pre-order, which I got within the first hour of pre-orders going up, was one of those "problematic pre-orders" for absolutely no reason. All my information was correct and a charge wasn't even attempted against my card. Today I get an email saying that I purchased the game so I'm happy now, but I don't bash the game because they failed a launch, almost every game so far has failed at launch.
