Have we finally all learned our lesson in getting all wide eyed, and frothy over upcoming over failed MMO releases yet? Are people ALWAYS going to say "OMG....[insert ANY new MMO]..has failed after one day and it's doomed forever!!! "Finally....a game that brings me back to the LAUNCH days of UO, and Dungeons and Dragons, where I could play a Chaotic Good Hooker/Thief!!!!! One every 5 days!!!!"
People should have seen this coming a MILE away, Every MMO has trouble at launch, but instead, we could see the DF forums just filling up with Feb 09ers all asking the same dumb questions over, and over. All stating "OMG WHY's IT DOWN OMG" If you HAD been following MMOS, you'd of held of, or at least not been surprised at this.
What is happening now, is a big reason, I, and others have pre-ordered, and sitting back laughing at the mayhem from all you impatient scrubs. There was NO WAY, DF was gonna launch smoothly. No other MMO did either!!!!!!! Do you know how hard it is to keep forums up?
Everyone needs to do themselves a favor, and next MMO..(/cough...MORTAL ONLINE /COUGH!)...close to release, you try and take it with a grain of salt before jumping in all wishy washy, and crying after you realize That you WONT be able to play launch week. At least not too much because they'll be patching. YOu wishy washy bitches.
Hope for the best, EXPECT the worst.
Your all getting credited for missed gametime anyways, so chill out a bit. Who knows,We know DF will shine. I hope so, but i don't mind waiting for a couple of months to play. Now GET IN THERE, AND START AND KEEP HITTING f-5!!!!!!

many including myself who preordered did see this coming i have been through 4 mmo launches now and none were good. But for my part at least i use this time as a test if i am enjoying the game despite its problems than it had good potential if not then the game itself is crap

Personally I don't try or play a game unless I am reasonably sure I will like it. Meaning I like the concept and the features. If I get in the game and find out I don't like the concept or the features I leave. Bugs and such I can deal with at laucnh. There about as expected as hitting yourself in the head with a mallet is expected to give you a headache. 3 Months after launch if I still like the game, but can't deal with the bugs and chit, I may still leave if I am relatively sure things are going to be fixed.
Anyone that goes into a launch differently is pretty much begging for a mallet to the head lol. If you can't accept the launch day blue's wait till 3 months after launch before every playing an MMO.
