The Stratics IRC server irc.stratics.com has numerous channels available for chatting about the game and the ongoing issues. The #Darkfall channel is currently moderated to prevent chatting so we may use it as an update method, however there are several other open channels such as #dfchat and #darkfall-tmp. The forums will remain closed until the game is fully available so that we may use this front page as a reliable update method as well.

I could seriously give 2 shits about the stupid IRC... I wish they would stop wasting my damn time on completely useless "updates"
Only update I wanna see is the game is fixed we are accepting more sales. New server will be added by March 5th.

Plus, maybe stratics is looking for some publicity so they told the devs to send some people there way. Hell, maybe stratics can host a server..lol

Why Aventurine does not update their main webpage with current info like every other mmorpg in the world does is beyond me. They add the update to the forum login, would be nice if the site was actually up to date with info even the news section is out of date.
Seriously I hope the game does in fact come to fruition but what dev team launchs a game like t his without testing it with a massive wave of testers to improve stability knowing that they have a huge following.
If this is how the game is now and we cannot even play imagine how much worse it will get when more players are in. The Customer service im afraid will take a even larger dive.

I would never thought a year ago it would be like this, its damn shame.
Ill hope they get there act together in 2 months so i can buy the game and start on a fresh server.

In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

I am actually chatting live on Stratics right now. kinda nice to chat in a chat room versus posting all the damn time. Might be something better for you to do than read flamers all night.
IRC gets it's fair share of spammers, flamers, bots and trolls too though. It's really no different except that it's a faster means of communication.

Im a fence sitter as well. My quest here initally was for information on the game. I made my decision and frankly am content with it.
I do however wish AV the best of luck with this endeavor. Hopefully they will sort these issues out in short order. If my worst fears are NOT realised in DF in the next few months and the game is available I may very well give it a shot. Either way there are more new games coming down the turnpike.

Yea I'm content with waiting a few months myself and hopefully by then everything will be in tip-top shape for some good fun.
So why don't one of you leet programmer fanboy trolls just start a real IRC channel?
You don't need stratics and their childish mods I am sure that some of you are old enough to have used a real IRC?? Naw reading what most of you write you probably never have. All you know about the internet is a web browser and things like IRC, FTP, Gopher, etc would kick your asses.
Hint there are hundreds of IRC servers out there, I am sure you could find one to host your channel on. Hell it is free so even AV could afford it.
Just goes to show that they have very limited internet knowledge also if they have to use a forum site to run an IRC server.
Maybe Bloodpls can host it, he is independently wealthy or so he told me.
