It is not our fault you pre-paid for this mess. and we do have the right to gloat a bit. but  still we do feel bad that this did not work out.. and hope the game gets enough to hold on to 1 server ..a bad mmo hurts all games..

perhaps you can do it a bit better, take notes from the regulars who start 1 thread backed up by hours of meticulous writing based on sensless information from the web

    you sir, are an amateur

Yeah, sure, if it "hurt us all", these forums wouldn't be filled with such rampant trolls.

But it doesn't matter, when the servers go up, I'll again be having the time of my life. These trolls can do whatever they want, won't take away how much fun I had the first few hours the server was live.

There's always bad MMO's... Even large anticipated games have fallen to the ground.  It's not the advertisement, it's the content ;)

it's true though. I would have loved a game with all the features DF promised, but crap they killed off all the good stuff and left basic pvp wow big deal. and they and the fans hyped this mess to heaven and tried to de thrown god .. please

We Darkfallers play Forumfall while we wait. We must out troll the trolls, and make them look like asshats. Its quite simple really.

Ps: Don't critisise something if you can't take it yourself, pale basement dweller. Worry not the light will come.

I don't believe that a bad launch will kill the game.   As long as the content is there, it can be around for a long time.  Look at Meridian59, UO, etc.

A bad launch will do nothing to Darkfall considering it launched for only 10.000 people give or take. If they screw up the first few months only a small number of players will be feeling it. They can choose to open up for more players once they have fixed several of their isses and still be successful.

Vapor trolls don't get to gloat, because, they were wrong, and lost. Live with it and move along.

As for bad MMOs, its one of the best MMOs to come around in a while, crappy launch though.

This is true, but the company would need to have others sources of income to keep this up.and AV would take forever to put out anything new...if they break even , they might just close it down..

Hate to break it to you kid. But people in REAL LIFE will have varying opinions. For example that milk/beer you like, I think tastes like piss. Of the clothes/training diapers you wear, I think are cheap. As a example, see how that works, later on in life... when you have to actually work for a living? You will discover some things are not what thier advertised as. Thats a life lesson though, and dosnt come to you spontanously in a basement while your buzzsawing through that last bag of cheetoezzz from the case you momma bought at priceclub yesterday, and your diet soda.

Oh and I will be very very very much entertained with the idea that you think, is some really amusing manner im missing out on anything. But ima give you a hmm red star for effort!

Income sources like Age of Conan had? No I think your misinformed. Its the developers talent and will to make the game better, along with some financial backing.

Fixed it so you wouldnt be forcing a subjective opinion on people as a fact and getting called out on it.

Personally I think the worst launch was EverQuest.  Launch day had bad billing issues, and was fixed a week later.  Major lag issues the first 2weeks to a month after launch.  They only had one T3 line going through one major router which bogged the game.  People would die, lose exp and levels.  It was very rocky the first month, but they did extremely well.

What is this the convention of the elderly? I think you didn't understand his point, which was his opinion. Really it looks like your trying hard to sound mature, but unfortunately this is a video game forum. Sooner of later in life you will realize your life lesson sessions were for naught.

That and you will realize that your one of those cardiac arrest patients that you so ever diligently describe in your post.

Did you play on Fenin Ro when it launched?

I remember what you are talking about, and it was horrible. The only funny part was finding some dudes corpse everywhere when the servers came back up.

Everywhere you went you would see "Callmebruce"s corpse, often times about 20 in a row...

But yeah, that launch was fun. Game came online at 2pm EST and was down for a few hours by 4pm EST..

And they might open up new servers.  At this point, it is speculation.  I think, actually, that's all it's been the past few years... speculation, and assumptions.

I played the game, I liked it, I knew I had encountered a quality game by quality developers.  The PR and such is not quality.  What do you expect from a room full of programmers?  Professional presentations?  Awe-inspiring advertisements?  No, you expect them to write code, which is what they're doing... when they start bringing in more money, then they can pay for large advertisements, more servers, a good PR team, and all that fancy stuff.

For now, we can't do anything but twiddle our thumbs while the issues are sorted out.

EQ May have been like that only got there after 1 year, but to them you must give they where one of the first of the kind and it was new, not the same with AV.. thoguh i might agree with you Tasos thought they could do no wrong and didn't bother to look up past mistakes

Yes it does. Reexamine  your definition of vaporware please.

Throughout the beta, the swiftness that Aventurine corrected bugs and put in new features was pretty astonishing. If they had a strong point, I'd say its their ability to add things, and do it fast.
