Warlock vs. Wizard

what is the difference between these classes and which one would a group typically prefer? also, which is better solo?

They are both Tier one damage dealers, warlocks are more area of effect oriented with wizzies being straight up direct damage. Both do well solo but the wizard has the advantage do to concentrated direct damage. We have never turned down either for a group. Warlocks seem to be in demand for the new instances. If you are farming green grouped mobs warlocks excel as well as AoE groups.
