I've been waiting for exactly 3 hours now and I couldn't get in the game cause of this stupid queu!
I was playing Darkfall in the morning but then after that I just couldn't login anymore!
I hate this stupid queu and I don't even know why is it for!? There already 10k ppl on? Too many ppl trying to login at once?! Aventurine trying to keep only certain ppl on at the same time for some reason!?!?
Agh!!

Why is this queuing issue even present? I thought the whole justification for the limited release was to be sure that those who managed to purchase the game could enjoy it. Is it because so many people are trying to zone into the starting areas? Sounds like they aready oversold their capacity.
Well, the way that Darkfall works is that whenever you log back into the game, you will always login by a bindstone, wherever you are bound. So, since game just launched, everybody and their grandmother is bound to the same few bindstones in newbie zone. This essentially means that the rest of the gameworld could be empty, but if your bindstone is overloaded, you will have to wait. For future reference, move away from newbie zone and find another bindstone somewhere....once you manage to get in that is. For the record, what race are you playing?

Played: Darkfall, EVE, AoC, Ryzom, Ragnarok Online, GW2, PS2, Secret World, WOW, City Of Heroes/Villains, Champion Online.
NO WAY, they promised in beta this would be fixed by launch, can you confirm this, did you buy the game? DID THEY FINISH ANYTHING!?

I just logged in and got a slot to play straight away, report it as a bug they will want to know about it.

Report bugs? It's easier to log onto MMORPG.com and make a thread to complain about it.

Or maybe you should go back to your Amish Farm, stay away from the internet and stick to farming.
Just my 2 cents.
The game is more or less still in beta at this point. *Raises shield in preparation for vicious fanboy assault*

Are you one of the pre-order people? If so, when you crash, do you log back in where you crashed or at a bindstone?

I played on launch day during the times with no sync issues and I can confirm that they did remove the restarting at bindstone. I logged at an NPC camp and logged back in over a dozen times to try and fix sync issues. When I logged in this morning I logged in at my chaos stone and not the NPC spawn. If it is in, it's temporary.

I just panicked when I read that, so I logged in to check, and I am exactly where I logged off. Crisis averted.
But now that the servers have been running stable for the past several hours (bar the queue bugs, which are getting addressed (I had the queue bug this morning now its gone)) so the last resort of the troll is to say "well, the game is working now but uh... its still in beta! yeah so I'm going to make these random ass opinions and "facts" up based off of out of date beta information!"
Darkfall Travelogues!
-18 Goblin camps for starter players, with 0 skills and equip,to get starting weapons/armor/money and no "filler" wildlife /roaming mobs to kill as an alternative.
Imagine what would happen if those 10.000 new players tried to get in at once.
10.000 new players/ 18 goblin camps (with 6-10 or so goblins) = 555 guys per camp. Even if the 10.000 numbers are far off the problem persists with realistic (as people waiting to play as soon as Shop goes open) smaller numbers.
-Second reason is the lack of a reliable stress test being done. They are doing that stress test adding a few more people each time, see what happens and try to fix the issues.
No wonder they don't want us all inside at once.
Too many things to worry about, there wont be (by far) a smooth release here. I just decided to play something else and buy Darkfall in a month or so. I think it will save me a lot of bad experiences.

It's not like that. That's good. That would have been REALLY disappointing.
So does that mean the queue is for brand new players? Why would it matter where someone is bound at if they're logging back in at the same spot they logged off? Maybe it's just coded so that if "x player" is bound at "z bindpoint" he can't login if x-amount of players logged in are also bound to that same bindpoint.
That's what I'd recommend.
I will buy the game as soon as I don't have to camp my pre-order screen to buy it. Once that happens, it means they're a bit more ready to be taking customers.
I mean the fact that most of the people who are in had to do such a thing should've told them right off the bat how the launch was going to be. Hell, just every beta tester saying the game needed more time should have told them that. If I were in, I'd be in knowing to expect a bumpy ride.
are you guys checking announcements:
Servers have been up all day and running smoothly. There are minor issues we're on top of and we'll issue a quick patch sometime tomorrow morning European time.
One issue that has been reported to us by a few users is related to long queuing times. Queuing times can be drastically reduced, even eliminated if you bind away from the starting areas.
We got to the bottom of the account not active issue and we're mopping up after it at the moment.
We hope we'll be able to open up sales sometime soon but we need to make a thorough check of the account management system before we do so as to prevent more unnecessary inconvenience to the users.
We will keep you updated as much as possible on any developments. We would like to thank you for your patience again for bearing with us through the initial setbacks we faced.
