which was your favorite zone from evequest you most want to see again in EQ2?

Mine was everfrost, most hated was kithicor forest.

    the gorge should look cool with those beholders floating around in there.

    Blackburrow, I can't wait to fight gnolls again, that is what classic EQ is all about.

    Two of the places I most look forward to finding, if they still exist that is, is Misty Thicket and the Faydarks. Shame about Luclin realy, I would love to hit Paludal Cavern once again, oh well, c'est la vie.

    Maybe they should change the name to Antonica.. its actually called Antoinca and i think im the only person who actually spells it that way lol

    If they bring back the mood of the Faydarks, I don't care what they call it, then I will be happy. Kithicor was annoying in the original EQ. I also liked the feel of walking through High Hold Keep. The run from Qeynos to Freeport and all the zones between were very cool.

    I guess I just hope this time each zone is useful to someone and the population levels are always fairly constant. I hate to see entire zones be unused while other zones are immensely packed, especially in a group-oriented game where you need others around to play.

    I'm with you Aeric67 I'm really looking forward to seeing what they did with Highhold, and I cannot count the number of times I was running across the Karanas (at 2am in the morning in real life,falling asleep at the computer) just to meet someone in Freeport LOL.....

    Favorites not in any particular order

    West Commons- learned how to group and met my first friends there at the dervish camps (ring anyone?)

    Splitpaw -/shout camp check?? did someone say North spire>?

    Highhold Keep - I played the game for 4 years and I still got lost making my way through there but loved to fight the zone edges.

    GUK-  Guk = Action where you really learn how to group and play the game, never a dull moment  some dead ones but never dull.

    Rathe mountains- Loved watching those Giants fall...

    I know all the zones I mentioned were the original game but they are the ones I remember to this day there were a few in the expansions I enjoyed but nothing like the original for me...I'm so old fashoined I missed the selling, shouting, bartering, and just the general Ruckus of East Commons at the tunnel...boo on the bazaar ... LOL... now that I have turned this simple question into a book... I will shut -up..... one more thing bring on EQ2....

    Er...I'm not sure how to break it to you but it is Antonica.

    Coming from a long time player and CSR/Guide: It's spelled Antonica.

    Coming from someone with Google, a cloth map and a manual: It's spelled Antonica on all their websites, the map and the manual.

    it is indeed antonica, im looking at it on the map right now....anyways. my favorite zone from original would have to be jaggedpine forest, lots of good leveling in that zone on my druid. second favorite was probably paludal caverns, i powerleveled so many people in that zone. ahhh good times. (i was lvl 65 druid on saryrn server, 112 aa points when i retired)

    wounder if jagged pine will be in EQ2, wasn't it supposed to be just off surefalls glade tunnels. although it was a portal stone and EQ2 says all the portals have stopped working since the gods dissappeared.

    Its's funny I saw someones favorite zone was Paludal Caverns, that was the beginning of the end of EQ for me, I mean I played a long time after that but for some reason (with me) the game lost its luster, I dont know if it got too big or they just started releasing expansions so fast  I just lost touch with the game.

    While I remember my first trip to the Plane of Fear, Hate and Sky sentimentally I'd have to say Blackburrow.

    I think it's because of spending so much time there leveling as a lower level character. For me, the first 20 levels were the most fun each time. I liked the lay out of BB, the constant on your toes threat of trains and knowing you could die at any moment. Then later in your levels you could come back and save some younger player.

    Of course, I probably cursed and screamed at this zone more than any for those exact same reasons, hehe.

    Well, I recently rolled up a DE, and ran him to Nektulos. Ummmm. Yeah. This is different. That's what went through my head after finally getting to the zone. After running through the forest for a while, I ended up at some port. I never did find Neriak, or anything else that reminded me of the old forest I knew so well.

    Pretty much the same experience with all the other zones I've been to, as well. Though I understand the big hole in the middle of Blackburrow still exists. The map has been changed around alot, and things aren't really in the 'right' place. For example, when you leave Qeynos, you're in Antonica, but when you leave Freeport, you're in the Commonlands. Last I knew, Antonica was the name of the entire continent, now it's the island that Qeynos is on.

    About the only thing that ties this game to EQ is the names of some of the places in the world.

    CT, man I loved that zone, then SoE made it Uber but it was still a kick ass zone. And who didn't like killing lizzard men, I mean really they were great!!!!! ::::20::
