Ok, is all the other guild wars like expansions? Or are they versions of the game updated or what?

Not quite sure what you mean, however...

Guild Wars: Prophecies is a full campaign

Guild Wars: Factions is a full campaign

Guild Wars: Nightfall is a full campaign

Guild Wars: Eye of the North is an expansion

However, if you have one of teh full campaigns already and then add another campaign it acts like an expansion to what you already have

There are 4 Guild Wars games:

    Guild Wars Prophecies (the original)

    Guild Wars Factions

    Guild Wars Nightfall

Guild Wars Eye of the North.

Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are stand-alone campaigns. This means that you can buy any one of these games and play through its content. If you'd like to play through the other two campaigns with a character from the campaign you have bought, you can add the other two campaigns to your account. This will allow you to travel between campaigns with your characters.

Eye of the North is an expansion, which means that you have to own at least one of the campaigns in order to play it. It gets added to your account, which will allow you to access the content with your characters on that account.

Guild Wars works rather differently to other games, such as World of Warcraft, for example when it comes to campaigns. Each campaign acts as a stand-alone game that has its own continent, storyline, quests, missions etc. This means you have a very large amount of content to play through and the content is very diverse. Eye of the North is the only game that adds content for "high-level" characters.

Hopefully that clears things up for you.
