i think the point the op is trying to get across here is that there was no warning or nothing, and any contact after the initial message was sent to him was bunk with no sympathy.  As much as i have used proxys and things like the op used to obtain the keys, iv never had to deal with angry support...whats it like???  if your really angry about it we could plot to sabotosh SE's servers ...that sound good? hmm...i dont wana get on SE's bad side though for the soul reason aion will be king of the mmo's and i wana be able to play it.

I am not sure how the whole trial thing works to be honest I know in WoW you can't really interact with anything to counteract this very thing. Maybe that is more like the answer to the problem, but then again FFXI is a much more communal game than WoW.
Also, for the tech support thing: Making a phone call is more effort than an email. I do not believe those that were temp banned eariler this year were turned back on until people called up support. It might help show that you are not some person who is just going about to farm up some gil. They would probably just go get another account and keep moving on and an email is not much effort to try and fix the problem. Plus it helps when you don't answer the phone: "Nei ho"

He is, of course, never going to admit this.  So any arguing that fact is going to prove fruitless.

He isn't being a troll. If he was spreading out to other post about it then I would call him a troll. He is just really defending he point; that just happens to be wrong. If you guys do notice he stopped coming back to try though ... time to put this puppy to bed.

If there is a next time, use real e-mail addresses. Also, if there's two of you, I assume there's two computers(unless you devised some magnificent way to play split-screen FFXI). That means one key per computer. No need to even use Hotspot Shield, and I don't see why you did. Even on the same network, different computers have different external IP addresses.

Yes i agree as to the purpose, but the real solution is to not allow any interaction by trial players.OR at the very least no trading of gil or items, the ONLY thing they should allow is the trading of say a LINKPEARL.I mean the whole purpose of a trial is to get the feel for the game, you should not be worried about any trading anyhow.Eliminating trading would mean only the legit people would make any use of the trial accounts.
