Hey all
I left warhammer a few months ago but I have kept my eye on the updates and changes. Looks like some very cool stuff coming up and it has stirred my interest in this game again.
The main problem I had with the game was the low population. I could literally play for hours without seeing a single other player and the world just felt empty and not very alive.
So my question is has this changed at all. Have the server transfers worked and does the game world actually now feel alive and well?? And if i do return what server would be a good one?
Cheers.
P.S I am from England so will be playing on the european servers.

EDIT: Bah, Euro! info below is US!
There are 3-4 Full/High servers every night with quick scenario queue's and good orvr.
The game feels alive but it's all in what you're looking for. I think if you're looking for a fully populated PvE world you'll be a bit disappointed, WAR is inherently broken up which is kind of a drag.
The bright side though however is with the 1.2 patch you can see ORvR fighting just by going to the MAP (no longer have to select the zone or anything like that) and you can also see how many active people are participating in PQ's just by hovering over them on the map.
I was thinking about coming back (finding that Darkfall is not really my cup of tea), which servers are high/full?
Thanks in advance!
MMO Vet since AOL Neverwinter Nights circa 1992. My MMO beat up your MMO. =S
Iron Rock, Dark Crag, Volkmar are the current big hitters.
Phoenix Throne is a very active RP server and Skull Throne is pretty popular as well.
I have been wishing they'd allow unrestricted server transfers ( even for a few bucks) so I could get to one of the big servers. Although fortunatly my main was a WE so now that I'm rerolling anyway I'll have to try one of those other 3.
Do they have high daytime numbers too or mostly evening. I almost always play in the evening but occasionally get the chance to get on during the day.
daytime pop is med/med and the action is decent for morning/afternoons.
I think it's key to note that when playing this game, you take it for what it is currently. Rushing to 40 to try to get to endgame will ultimately result in some disappointment against the time it takes you to do so. I'd argue that I have more fun in the first few tiers than I do in the 4th tier currently. The game is new, it has the architecture in place, now they need to execute (new content, continue to revamp the ui, more pvp incentives, etc)
My reccommendation is to make a lot of toons and enjoy what you're playing. Level whatevers fun at that time and then use your other characters while they have built up rest xp to double up your exerience. So you level multiple toons at 2x xp rate, you take the pressure off yourself from rushing/leveling to 40 and just kind of enjoy wasting away your time ;o
