Hihi,

I just wanted to mention that I'm resurrecting the Age of Conan blog that seemed to have died out around launch. I'll hopefully get some juicy topics posted in the future but for now I've just tossed a little info on what's been going on now with the game.

I think it was about time. To be honest I like these forums quite well since the mods made it possible to talk about gaming again. And a blog with real content to it can only improve this.

I do however use AoC forums when I want to talk technical details down to the bone.

You mean for example future plans as to make the waterfalls function as a waterfall and not like this?

I would like to hear what's going on with DX10 client. Something other than "it's coming soon" would be nice. Are they having problems with it or what? It was supposed to be ready 1 year ago...

Here's hoping you guys consider a free "comeback month" or some such.  I'm curious about coming back, but in these belt-tightening times, I don't want to toss money around willy-nilly just to see what has changed and if things are better.  I am sure that many other people feel the same.

Well if you check out my comments in the blog you would find the most recent update on DX10. It's on the public test servers now which means it's close to hitting live. What I can tell you is that they are still tweaking it for live and it will be ready when they feel it's good to move off public test to live. Craig would be the top guy to shed more details on it's status but I wouldn't think it's too far off if it's on public test as opposed to on our internal test servers.

Thanks for you reply. Although I was looking something more substantial than a generic "you will get it when it's ready" -post. But I guess if you don't know then you cannot give us any dates or anything.

Yeah I hear you there but I can only say so much of course. I mean things are looking good for it right now and I haven't seen anything in the pipeline that says otherwise. When I get more info on it, you will hear about it first.
