Quite frankly I'm having a hard time seeing where you changed the way you speak.
Lachrymose gave your ghould31 account negative rep with the comment "<3 Lachrymose", only you can see that comment. Then "someone" with 0 rep power tried to give Lachrymose negative rep and left the comment "<3 GHOUL". It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the chance of somebody else than you giving him negative rep and leaving a comment with the exact same phrase (exchanging the names of course) is almost impossible, since you're the only one who saw the comment Lachrymose left you.

I read the whole thread over there and it looks like they considered it a trolling post. That's the way I perceived it anyway.
If the OP was continually posting threads that were considered trolling a perma ban would be considered the best solution. However if this was a one time incident, I would say they way over reacted and have to thin skin to run a game company.
You're post was almost certainly considered to be provocative and trolling by the forum moderators, who no doubt have to deal with dozens of such posts each day that are intended to do exactly that - get a bad reaction from the community.
You're best course of action would be to contact the forum mods by email and either explain your post and appologise and or politely for an explanation.
There is of course the chance that this isn't the only post that you've been banned for, we're only seeing one post out of however many you've made and perhaps it's the sum of them and the way you're posting that's lined you up for the chop.

When I click on that link, I get an error saying that it can't be found. That being said, if what the poster above states is true, then it could be construed as having broken the rules of the forum, which expressly prohibit advertising for other games. Even if the intent was not to advertise for Shadowbane, which it probably wasn't, the mods do have a good deal of discretion, and their decisions appear to be final, based on the rules post here:

It's simple, rep power determines how much positive and negative rep you can give to someone and rep power is determined by how much rep points you have and by how many posts you have. When you sign up, you have 0 rep points and 0 rep power. When you make your 10th post you gain 1 rep power, after that you gain one rep power after every 500 posts. You also gain rep points from other forum members who have rep power, with every 50 rep points you gather you gain +1 rep power.
Now, turning to you. You have 0 rep power on the ghoul31 account, since you only have only 6 posts on the forums. You confirmed that you left the first rep and comment shown on the image Lachrymose posted here. Everyone can clearly see that that rep indeed counted as negative. This means that you could not have given that rep from the account ghoul31, since it has 0 rep power and thus can not effect anyone's rep. Which means that you must have lied about giving the first negative rep from the account ghoul31, which in turn confirms that you indeed had more than one account.
As for the motive to have a "vendetta" against Lachrymose, it's pretty simple. He made a negative and mocking reply to your thread and gave you negative rep. It's important to note that Lachrymose left you the comment "<3 Lachrymose" when giving you negative rep. Later on "someone" tried to give Lachrymose negative rep and left the comment "<3 GHOUL". This is a pretty clear indication that it was indeed you who left that comment.
Spelling your name ghoul instead of ghoul31 was not a mistake or a matter of knowing how to spell your own name, it's simply a shorter way of spelling it. As for the usage of the symbol "<3", which you have stated you never use, it's pretty clear that you copied that from the comment Lachrymose left on your ghoul31 account when giving you negative rep.
Saying that you have 5 years of forum experience does not mean that you have not had alt accounts during those 5 years and does not mean you don't use those alt accounts to your advantage.
Now, if you can come up with some solid proof and counter arguments to the ones above, be my guest. But I guess we all know the truth by now.
If you want to test it, find someone on the forums, who has 6 posts, and who has been a long time member, and tell them to give you negative rep and see if it works. After you have done that, get back to me. Until then please stop commenting because you don't know if that will work.

I don't need to test the rep system, since I know how it works. It's not some top secret complex system and I explained it fully in my previous post. The amount of time you have been signed up on the forum has no effect on your rep power.
Want proof? Check out the people who were the first to sign up on the forums in April last year, you will notice that all of them who have under 10 posts have 0 rep power.
And again, the amount of posts does not mean you are innocent. You have yet to disprove any of the facts that have been put before you.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the chance of somebody else than you giving him negative rep and leaving a comment with the exact same phrase (exchanging the names of course) is almost impossible, since you're the only one who saw the comment Lachrymose left you.
Also, it has been proven that you already lied in this thread when you stated that the negative rep that you signed with the name "ghoul31" was given from which you claim to be your only forum account on the MO forums. That is a lie, since it's impossible for someone with less than 10 posts to effect the rep of other forum users.

I read the whole thread over there and it looks like they considered it a trolling post. That's the way I perceived it anyway.
If the OP was continually posting threads that were considered trolling a perma ban would be considered the best solution. However if this was a one time incident, I would say they way over reacted and have to thin skin to run a game company.
You're post was almost certainly considered to be provocative and trolling by the forum moderators, who no doubt have to deal with dozens of such posts each day that are intended to do exactly that - get a bad reaction from the community.
You're best course of action would be to contact the forum mods by email and either explain your post and appologise and or politely for an explanation.
There is of course the chance that this isn't the only post that you've been banned for, we're only seeing one post out of however many you've made and perhaps it's the sum of them and the way you're posting that's lined you up for the chop.
To the last three posters, ghoul31 was not banned because of that post, but due to having several forum accounts and using them to give negative reputation to other members. He of course denies this, but it's pretty clear that he is simply trying to cover his tracks.

When I click on that link, I get an error saying that it can't be found. That being said, if what the poster above states is true, then it could be construed as having broken the rules of the forum, which expressly prohibit advertising for other games. Even if the intent was not to advertise for Shadowbane, which it probably wasn't, the mods do have a good deal of discretion, and their decisions appear to be final, based on the rules post here:
