It is good to share your opinions, but it's even better to base them on something solid.
No, you don't have to pay for the PS trial, because there isn't any PS trial. SoE is offering "to try out" PS for 9.99 for which you recieve the game and 30 days of playtime, just as if you purchased the game in the boxed version (which doesn't exist anymore afaik). You don't need to pay anything in addition to game time once the current period expires, so really, it's not a trial but rather a cheap purchase.
And as far for the X game / producer / distributor sucks, well, that trend should really die. Face it, they're all in it for the money and the only reason they are being nice to you is so you keep playing their game, now I agree SoE made some mistakes regarding EQ, but here's a scoop -- EQ and PS have totally different developers and customer support guys, only section they probably share is billing and account assistance.
