So, I played Lotro at launch but never made it thru the 1st free month. Since then i have resubbed twice, but never really got into the game.

Now, as I really want to like this game , i have decided to try again, and wanted to know if anyone could give me some pointers on what server to choose and what not :)

Any other info you can come up with that might help a returning player enjoy the experience more will be much appreciated.

I am a 29 year old average joe, played almost every MMo worth mentioning since EQ1 ( also a few not worth mentioning ), which i wont bother you with listing :).

I love PVE ( which is why i hope Lotro will be my new game for that fix ), PVP is something i rearely do as most games PVP just dont cater to me, I want to try Darkfall for that, but im not touching that with a ten foot pole right now )

So, any help you guys can give... :)

Im on Vilya,  My Kin is Forged by fire.

First thing you do is get into a large and known kinship.  There are no low level players to really fellow with so u need all the help u can get.  Everyone is on there mains in moria and raiding.  No one is rolling out alts othern then RK;s and Wardens.  But once u get that Kin. Forged By fire is amazing BTW.  they will guide help u through all the books and things u need to get done in lower lvls in these spare time.  I have Lifetime membership and I came back a couple months ago at a low lvl and they have been there to see me to lvl 52.  And the best thing lvl 50ish lvls.  Is all the raid gear and elite Loot you basically get given to you because everyone only is working for lvl 60 radiance geer now.  And the lvl 50 gear looks just as epic and awesome as it did when it was the lvl cap.

By me saying that there are no low lvl players.  Do not let it turn u off.   There is so much to do in this game in terms of crafting and solo content.  And the solo content is not boring at all.   The craftnig system is the best i have seen to date and the animations and crafting quests help keep it from getting so tedious. It beaks up the grind a bit.  Other then your general kill 10 of these, find 15 of these.  The Kill quests have so much depth and meaning witht he Deed system.  U need deeds to add feats that really help out your character in end game.  U know the game so srry for trying to say things u alrdy know.  I gues i went off topic a bit.. Basiically just find yourself a Kin and enjoy the rich storyline this game has.  Every book you finish feels really epic and makes me want to play even more.  Just wait till you get to the Balrog Raid in Rift.  WOW.  helegrod DRAGON is fun as well but u need a large and known kin to do these lower raids because everyones focusing on PvMP or Watcher raid and Moria.  O ya, u get so caught up in the PvE books and story you forget that you kin is sometimes calling for reinforcements in the Ettenmoors pvp area.

Nice answer man, made me decide that im comin back. Ill roll a toon on your server i think, ill let you know when im in :).

The lack of lower level players dont really bother me, as i tend to solo alot, not that i prefer solo´ing, but I always end up doing it the most of the time :)

Whats your name in game, maybe ill look you up when i need a Kinship :)

EDIT: I see you play AoC as well. Im playing that atm for my pvp fix, what server you on ? maybe i pwned ya ? :)
