i'll buy me a island, and build a house with all the modern furniture in it. then i'll stay in the house, sometimes i'll invite my friends onto the island and have party.
...With one million dollars?

One million dollars gives you the ability to earn a portion of your total income from the interest. If you are investing in guaranteed securities your rate of return will only be $10,000-$40,000 a year.
Therefore, if you were to acquire one million dollars in the near future, you would be advised to:
1) pay off your outstanding debt
2) find appropriate living accomodations. If that includes buying a house, depending on your investment strategy, that could range from paying the entire thing off immediately or getting the smallest mortgage possible.
Honestly, that looks amazing. Although I would probably get bored with it after 2 weeks and would need to purchase another one for one of my friends so we can jet pack joust!

The fact that there is no way of getting around the whole "tethered" deal I think I'd get tired of it after a few days.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

A million dollars isnt much so I couldnt do too much with it, but I would buy my daughter a 3 bedroom house or trailor so that she and her 3 girls wouldnt have to live with me anymore. I would splurge on myself with a couple hundred or maybe go to Beltara on the river and do a little gambling for fun and then invest the rest.
You can tell the quality of a person by how they treat people they don't need.
1 million wouldn't do much except decrease some of my worries and fast track some of my life plans (earlier retirement, move out of the starter home sooner, ...)
216 million - I'd retire do whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want, with whoever I want and be limited only by my own morals (which I'm willing to wage are a bit higher than some of the people around here )
"The liberties and resulting economic prosperity that YOU take for granted were granted by those "dead guys"
Well considering the cost and profits of my uncles pig farm in the Philippines, Id say develop a foreign business and grab a special development visa for the Philippines. Once Im settled there I could be making a cozy several hundred thousand a year. Buy a nice beach lot. Probably a nice helpful servants house. All in all a good life.
The secondary plan if I was to stay in the Americas would be to buy up some land on the outskirts of town. Build a apartment complex and live off the income. Rentals are gold in my area and always have been. Were looking at a decent 750,000 dollar initial investment. So that leaves me 250,000. Id take 100,000 of that and build a house on m property in the Philippines and a smaller scale farm.
All in all 1 million is a ton of cash. Especially if you can live on 10k a year. Thats food, car repairs, rent and comforts. Hehe I live cheap.
nowadays, a million dollars is not a big fortune. but i'll still feel excited to get it. So i can travel around the world and try delicious food everywhere
i'll put them in the bank and just live on the bank interest. plan B in my mind: i'll use them to travel to different place, but in this way imay use up the money quickly. so plan A will be better for me.
I'd pay off college for my associates degree, then find the next degree I'd go after. I'd probably get two or three more in total.
After this graduation I'd go to angel falls, then use the spring breaks for the same things along with any friends.
______
After 3/4ths of it was spent on schooling I'd look for a nice job, then work my way through different companies and positions.

Would probably find the most expensive whore (or two) and the most expensive bottle of whisky (or two). Throw in a couple of midgets and a sauna.

Pay off my bills and my moms bills. Spend about 50k and invest the rest into my mmo.

I'll buy my own place, maybe a beach house, and never work again party every night or so...
who says money can't buy happiness?
50k(4)=200k For my brothers' and sister's college fund
200k for a medium sized house in my area
100k for travel, casinos, entertainment, stuff, etc
50k for a nice car
250k for college and med school
200k in the bank
total 1,000k
Of course I'd be lazy for a while, but I'd still go to school and have a part time job.
