Ultimate Customizability for Powers

I know Cryptic has been touting ultimate customizability, but so far I'm a bit nervous about what little I've heard about how power work.  Then something occured to me after I checked Saga of Ryzom again...it has the most amazingly customizable ability system that I have ever seen or heard of.  I sure hope the folks at Cryptic took a look at it, but I'm not sure they can match it....
