Asian mmo's have always been terrible grindfests

    You never know, but he is more then likely right. A lot of Korean MMO's i've played are pretty heavy on grinding.

    well considering an ounce of research will tell you that the devs are trying to avoid that, but I should be able to put that to the test in a bout a day or so. I'll come back when I have sufficiently leveled up some and report my findings.

    I agree with your title (there are a lot of asian grinders, I have played my fare share of them). But Aion is not one of them, I know because I have been playing it. Started playing on Nov 2008.

    I have no doubt it will be a grindfest.. thats how mmo are designed, to be long time sinks. Some people happen to like asian mmos and their format, if you dont, then dont play them. Last time i checked nobody forced anyone to download and enjoy asian mmos.
