I agree with the OP on this, mobs are too scattered. I didn't expect it to be like WoW or War or any of the new batch that have nice neat little NPC areas that increase in levels as you travel, but I did expect there to be more.

I think most logically thinking people thougt it would be similar to AC or UO in regards to PvE mobs.
It is not.
With many ruins, campfires, dungeons, abandoned cities... no matter how long you wait around... nothing spawns.
The players killed them all....You cant forget that in darkfall you are dealing with the baddest of the bad when it comes to other players.....They just look at a mob and it dies out of fear......Also their community says that they dont need no stinking mobs to make it a fun game......As long as their are fresh noobs ready to die they are thrilled.......

In all seriousness, supposedly they limited the number of mobs so that players can fill their spots. My guess is they ran out of time and budget.
Agros is either not being completely honest, simply mistaken, or does not understand how mobs spawn in Darkfall. I have found no area of the world, except for the ocean (there it seems to be more of a dynamic spawn), where you could run more than 4 or 5 minutes in any direction and not find mobs.

There are major mob spawn issues, have been for the last three days, and it has been completely broken overnight.

The issue here is that Tasos has exagerated again, and made more of their coding that the reality.
the game doesnt support 10K players, it supports 10K simultaneous mobile objects. To let more players in, they have to reduce everything else.
I suspect the limit is closer to 8K myself, not 10, and I suspect that 5K players plus the world mobs is probably the best playing experience you could get.
I doubt very much if that would make the game viable as a business though.
The more I see the worse things look unfortunately. It was a good idea, but the games basic infrastructure just isnt there.

I am playing. I haven't personally seen any "missing" mobs, was only apparently a few people who reported it, so i ignored.
point is, the game is full of mobs, and if you had been around here a bit longer, you'd know that about the endemic psycho-troll TenSpotting, who does nothing else eith his life but create & recreate mmorpg.com accounts to troll DF with, until they get banned in 2-3 days then he goes and creates another one. no, i'm not joking, it's THAT pathetic.

i heard there exist games were you running around searching for PvP for hours and searching for full loot PvP for years without detect any...funny so much games lacking this last 10 years..

Every time a new subscription is made, that another mob loses it's spawn spot? (think of Bells. Angels and Wings)
