downloading the trial

the past few days ive been all over the boards looking for something (anything) to do. Well a couple years ago i tried eve (trial) and couldnt get into it...i think im ready to try it again. im downloading the client again and if anyone would like to potentially sign me up for the buddy program to get 30 days on the offchance i play let me know via pm or something. I would like to try out the pvp and people say that (player) skill compensates sometimes for account age in combat, i would like to see.
anywho let me know.

This really is not WoW/EQ where Gear makes the man. Here in eVE, the man with biggest balls, willing to risk the most, will win. It is risk/reward here- not always wear best items 24/7 and beat the crap out of all else.

before i get another trial key is there any benefit to reactivating my account by chance? im not entirely sure how the skillups work in this game is it passive or do i have to be logged in doing things? (since my old account was created in 2005 is that character going to be automatically much better than anything i make now?)

Eve is different because you can train your character while not online but you do need to log in to activate your skill training. If you haven't played since 2005 and you didn't play it very long it will be better to start a new character.
about the only thing i succeeded in was giving myself a headache from all the autopiloting around...im hopelessly lost and i think any possible plea for help in the newbie chat was drown out by the other thousand people there (200 of which just kept saying things like 'how long til im not a noob' or 'man i hate being a noob') maybe ill try again tomorrow

how long til im not a noob? forever, it's a sandbox and there is always something else to be a noob about
man i hate being a noob! find another game
avoid autopilot, you have warp to zero wich will allow you to get places quicker and be in charge of where you are going.
