So i downloaded the atlantica downloader program/patcher(exe file) which was as an option at their official site its just below the mirrors section labeled "FULL CLEINT (Express download)".So after i downloaded and run the exe the first thing was there was some registry file that executed that my antivirus asked for permission to apply,so i applied it knowing its for use of the game, and then immidietly my antivirus spotted a trojan invader while in the background the game was downloading it stopped and a setup for some king of program started and it installed on my pc-program that is not related to the game what so ever,it was a virus too.The name of the program was bittorrent uploader sth...I stopped the download ofc and deleted the invader program and now im stuck with possibly 2 trojans that my antivirus cannot detect and delete...
Thank u NDoors very much!!!!!!!

maybe it was a false alarm? use a online scanner and let your system check again: free online scanner. (IE)
I was using kaspersky when the virus occured but i also checked with adaware and pcwasher, nothing could be found afterwards with the scans, but there was sure a virus previously on the kaspersky caught and it prolly got deleted.I was wondering if anyone else got that problem or is it just me?Also, why is there a virus on their official download client, that is the main question...
Search this in google, superantispyware.... download the free version. It will really help you a lot, it is by far the best anti spyware program I've ever used.
Some anti virus programs detects some parts of the game as a virus but it is really part of the game. That happened before when I was playing ragnarok online. If superantispyware doesn't detect it I don't think it is really a trojan at all.
hey, i tried using this option when i downloaded the game for my friend and i didn't encounter such an error. i really don't know why but maybe, just maybe there's something wrong with your anti-virus? Im no techno-nerd and i dont have that much knowledge on PC so dont trust my words. hahaha! but i think you can also use the mirror sites for downloading. there are good sources there in case you still wanted to play.
There was no virus. It's called a "false positive". Anti-virus software is for noobs.
If you ever tried cracking games you'd know that antivirus cant be full of shit. They dont look at what a file will do on your comp, but how it does it. ANd some viruses act the same way install or crack progs do this is why you can get false positives when installing new stuff.
I'm not a no life that sits in front of his computer all day long, I'm an intern that sits in front of his computer all day long.

yup, it could be false positive. i have a lot of frieds who downloaded the client and none of them had a problem
I downloaded Atlantica recently from the Australian mirror site, and my antivurus program did not identify any threats.
Most game patching programs do share some common characteristics with computer viruses. Both download and modify executable programs on your PC. Antivirus programs cannot always differentiate between a threat and legitimate game patchers. Given the number of games worldwide, this is not surprising.
You still need to be cautious, but Atlantica itself is an established game that has been running for some time.
You need a download manager of some sort for downloading large files such as game files. Many mirror sites will recommend a download manager if you do not have one. Its possible that the you got such a program from the mirror site. Most download managers use some form of bittorrent. Unscrupulous people can and do put up free download managers that are actually a virus.
It is more likely that:
