A Clubs Feature Idea

Shot in the dark right there. So we have forums that bring the community together and now we can even manage guilds here in different MMOs and we even have Blogs to talk about games and other off topic situations. This is a great way of bringing the community together.

Some years back I was real close with chilling out on 1up.com and there is a club feature. Users can join, create and manage clubs on topics, games, mmorpgs, etc. Now you may wonder why should this site have such a feature. I think its a good idea, because for example we have a group of members here. They all like to play games together and they do part ways at times and play other things. Well how would all of these people comunicate with each other? There is chat rooms, voice programs, maybe even a small discussion topic.

Now, with a club feature here, they can be members of this club. Be able to upload and link pictures, have their own introduction block to speak on any news and then have a comment based part where people post (kind of like the one where we hype games in the "Game List". Its almost like having a controlable forum of your own. Kind of hard to explain unless you look around 1up.

1up changed the comment spaces and just made some kind of wired thread forum, but take a look at these examples:

That will explain my point a bit. Clubs can be for anything. It can be a small fan club for a game, console owners, a growing group of friends that play, communicate and exchange games and items though mmos, anything. I think its almost like a Guild, Blog and a Small Community in one.

Its just a thought that would lead to even more members and activity though the website. Sorry for my spelling and grammar too. Firefox wont let me do some things without popping up the "Quick Find" and its irritating.
