The things we need to keep in mind are -No other MMO has 100% compliance for DX10, so Funcom is already in unique territory. -DX10 is NOT Funcoms technology, but Microsoft's. Thus Funcom is trying to work with code that is not theirs and integrating it into their own code. -Why release code when it is causing issues, and who knows what the real issues are? Again, as someone else stated, Funcom is getting their act together thanks to Craig and not releasing code that could cause further problems. I do not care if it takes 10 months or 10 years, So, today even though the DX10 client was NOT released, it still is a triumph that they did not release buggy code. I will take that anyday. Cheers
Openedge, it is a countdown, the implementation will happen for a fact, whether a staggered effect to get the best iteration fast or otherwise.
Sent in my bug report after crashing to desk top. It looked blurry to me , like in VG. THe god rays where streaming through wall faces as well as my perfomance was cut in half. It should be put back on test for the most part and Testers really need to get there head out of there ass and start providing Funcom with some real feed back. Dx 9 on my machine looks better for this gme then dx10.
Did you do that? How many people do you think who play the regular game play on test to report issues?
Now, it is on live, and we can see the real forums are already alive (I also turned in several bug reports), thus an "optional" feature is available and getting heavily tested. In the end DX10 will be rocking thanks to the commitment of the real players.
