A MMORTS combined with a CCG based item mall. EA has a (RMT) gold mine on their hands. Or so they probably hope. I'll pass, sounds like EA is even greedier than $OE.

You get almost 100 cards (if you didnt get the preorder bonus you get 96) this includes spending the 3000 BF points to buy 12 booster packs. More than enough to make a deck which consists of 20 cards.
The game is fun and polished. I could buy a few boosters a month to keep it fresh and it would be at or equal to (or more depending) and still be able to play the months I cant afford 15 dollars.
Or they have whats called a "Tome Deck" gives you 6 boosters plus 8 free common cards, 56 cards total, for the price of 5 regular.
Well after a solid 8 hours of play yesterday, i can safely say this will be my new game from now on, until a GREAT next gen FFA PvP MMO comes out.
If your at all interested in Trading card games, RTS, and RPG elements. Try out the demo. People may be turned off on the fact that you have to pay for cards, but if you take the average MMO sub at 15.00/mo you can spend that same amount and get plenty of cards without overspending.
You can also trade cards with other players and sell cards on the Auction system for the currency normally acquired through the Cash Shop. So you could technically sell cards you already have to other players and buy packs, instead of spending money.
Seems there are some balance issues and tech problems for users running VISTA, but from what ive seen, its all due to virus/firewall/drivers/ DX10 and what game is released "balanced?"
If anyone wants to play hit me up in game "Impaler" or on AIM as XImpalerX.
EA is a good company and they already stated a nice patch coming at the first of April.
I actually played Magic The Gathering a long time ago, and I still got little love for TCG's. Then I found this topic, and thought maybe I should give it a try. Do you have anykind of tips for a starter?
I'll give some of my first thoughts of the game. I would say this is nothing special we're dealing with at the moment, I've read some of the topics in the game forums and found several topics about the game being rather unbalanced (major issue). The scenarios or were kind of dull, and again nothing special, thought there is 2 and 4+ player scenarios aswell that bring more interest playing through them. Only target group I could really recommend this game is to fans of trading card games and real time strategy gamers. If you love them both this might be you're game. Other than that if you love TCG's I would stick games that concentrates only on them and if RTS games are your thing I would stick to C&C series, I myself have been a longtime Warcraft 3 lover, and still play it occasionaly. I will still give this game a couple go's, try PvP and more of the scenarios. We'll see how it goes.
Legends of Norrath is way better. The art is based on Everquest and not cartoonish. Sponsored by Sony with tournaments to win Sony products like laptops and such.

It's more of an MMORTS/RPG than a "FFA PvP MMO".
Just so people don't get confused that this might be the next "big thing".

I never said it was a "FFA PvP MMO"
I said that I was going to be playing Battleforge UNTIL the NEXT GREAT FFA PvP MMO is released.
Try to take your own advice and not get confused. Especially when all you have to do is read. Fail.
No reason to get all angry there kiddo.

I played the closed beta. Was completely unbalanced and boring.
Could you please be more specific? What made the game unbalanced?

@demonic87: "I played the closed beta. Was completely unbalanced and boring."
The closed beta had full access to every card in the game.

It sounds an awful lot like Pox Nora with fancier graphics to me ( not necessarily a bad thing though).
