Anyways, instead of just "chalking it up", why don't you put some effort and explain how LoTRO is different? Probably because you can't without being extremely vague, but I welcome you to. Also, what has WoW copied from LoTRO "recently"? Acheivements? Hardly. Keep going.

As far as experience goes, I can post screenshots of my 50 Minstrel... I'm sorry that I couldn't make it through the boredom that was 50-60... but I have plenty of experience in LoTRO... starting in beta.

No, this is in game graphics. You know that picture you posted is not representative of the graphics in LOTRO. Don't play dumb.

Man, I don't even think that graphics can be turned THAT down, as on his picture. I think it's been hacked or photoshopped somehow. Even on minimal setting, the game looks a lot nicer :)

And not to mention ultra high settings.

Placing a (most probably modified), purposely worst shot, lowest ingame-settings picture to troll about a game is just about the biggest mark of victory for said game. It is so pathetic, it generates empathy :)

Hey genius, I told you it was from the official site...

The ultimate irony, so transparent it's a troll post.

Good show op, you got a lot of people to bite.

"The community in WoW is better and more mature than in lotro." lool! That's so pathetic, I don't think you realised that you actually just owned yourself. If that's the case, why is there some retard making a pointless topic about how LoTR doesn't make him hard like WoW does?

You're an obvious troll just wanting the attention, I guess I'm giving it to you. Then again I'm really just pointing out how much fail you are at trolling, good luck in the future.

I played WOW for about 18 months, LotRO for about 2 months before I tired of it as I felt like I was still playing a game "like" WOW.

    That's all I'm saying.

That's certainly a valid viewpoint. Some of the OP's points were ludicrous though.

I have played both. I am currently playing LOTRO. I am enjoying lotro much more than WoW. The reason is because most everyone I have talked with in lotro seem to either be older in age or just much more helpful. I dont see the infantile comments or spamming there. The story progression and chapters in lotro seem so much more structured in lotro. I am not here to make wow lovers hate me......I am just stating my opinion. Whichever one you enjoy......play it. I just happen to enjoy LOTRO.

In WoW there is pvp, in LOTRO there is nothing
In WoW there are hard raids, where it require skill and efford, in LOTRO there are only 2 raids and it's a 2 button push raid, no skill required.

    Classes= better designed
This game is a huge grind. In WoW you only have to do dailies to seize anything, in LOTRO you must grind for hours to get something.
All I can say is this game is horrible, and is lackuster game, cannot understand that some people enjoy playing this game.
My review on this game is 1/10, the worst mmo ever.

    Back to WoW.

I remember you being totally euphoric about how cool LotRO was and how different it felt. Don't play the "got boring fast" card now Kyle...

And countering the age-old argument that LotRO is 'exactly like WoW mechanicwise'. It's not, not more than EQ2, or SWG in its current state, or WAR, or whatever.

It follows the EQesque gameplay style without trying to feature anything different. Granted. If you buy into LotRO, you buy into a classis PvE/level/quest/grind concept game. Love it or hate it, but the decision is a lot more informed consent than in any of the other games that recently promised innovation and delivered crap...

What sets LotRO apart is the more casual/twink oriented approach. People that stick with LotRO, like myself, tend to appreciate the possibility to hop in once in a while and NOT find powergamers left and right heading for tier 12 set in dungeon number 9. You can easily park a character for months, then log in and play with people you knew. THAT's the beauty of this game, you _can_ grind, but you don't have to, you _can_ raid, but you don't have to, you _can_ powerlevel, but it won't give you many advantages...

It's  the same convenient fact that keeps EvE so much fun. The game doesn't force you to play it to 'keep up'. It is what it is, just a friggin videogame for spare time moments...

    M

PS: Oh, and about out of proportion characters that don't fit into the world, don't be ridiculous: Mid settings with shadow

    ...

Wow is only a trademill with bad attitude and a lol lore that blizz twists it and bends it to serve their purpose and some stupid imho real world reference jokes (Haris pilton ,Floyd Pinkus, :P)
