maybe you are allergy to wine, or maybe you are getting drunk faster,
If you cut down on the amount of time you spend drinking, you won't be able to consume as much -- and you won't consume as much on an empty stomach. so if you really into drinking eat something before drink.
2)if your not asian... thats just a sensitivity, the fact that its hit or miss reinforces that idea.
This is coming from my pre-med girlfriend whose in Biochemistry :P
Edit: Either way, your fine, just something you gota live with.
also, as another thing about the allergies not existing 100 years ago, I think 99% of people confuse allergies with sensitivities, check out wikipedia for the difference.
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
Yea, I'm a Polish French guy and I randomly get really splotchy and red faced after my first drink or two of the night. I've even recorded my drinking for a couple weeks at a time, as this only happens every once in a while. In the end, I really can't figure out what causes it. I only drink beer and vodka, and I drink every night. But it's weird, some nights I'll immediately feel that burn and redness after my first drink. It goes away after about 45 minutes, but it's quite unsightly. Other nights, I can drink as much and as fast as I want and nothing happens. It just sucks when this happens at the bars.
You're a Polish/French guy? I never would have guessed that from the pics you posted of yourself.
