Some info on this game
Dont try it, dont buy it.
Do yourself a favor dont touch it.
Why?
Well
1.)Poor staff they are slow and have a very small support staff and isn't really payed very unhelpful.
2.)Abusive staff if you get on there bad side of some key people in there company things will go very badly for you. If your unliked you can get perma banned for the smallest thing. Yet if your liked you can do so much and not be touched.
People have been banned for the smallest little things on there boards and such and others who have had say the dirtest granma pron sig only get a slap on the wrist. Why? cause granma pron man was liked and people who said "fuck you" weren't.
Nice thing was once someone posted a threat on a 3rd party board about someone, and that person got a perma ban ingame. Hell company didn't even know that this was the same person it could have been someone using his name. But they hated this person so it was enough of an excuse to perma ban him.
3.)Here comes brand new NEOCRON 2 wich is not new at all but an expainson wich has been delayed for over 1 year.
What is this new thing well they gave the graphics a small lift, changed the skins, changed the layout of you GUI and added a few missions. Also a new city wich aint grand. This is what you get after 1 year of development.
They are giving maybe 50% if that in this "new game" (expansion only) after 1 year, 1 year of work and they barely get 50% of its promised features how do you figure that.
4.) GM = players unpayed unproffesional endless tails of corruption, insta capped chars, chars that were overcapped plus many spayed items some with un attainable stats.
5.) Fresh start with this "New Game" (expansion only) is a nice data base failure so backup is almost 1 month old I &*^# you not 1 month. Lets be serious here there are free mmorpgs out there ran by 15 year olds with better back ups.
So take all these problems and look at the fact that this is one of the most expensive mmorpgs out there if not the most costly.
Monthly Payment 12.95 EUR not Dollars Euros
Thats almost 16 US dollars for what the worst staff and slowest patches and little content.
Dont believe me waste some time and money.

Yes they did, the old NC1 Saturn server had a hardware failure (all reports about the backup pointed to a completed backup but nothing was written to the drive) so how is that KK's fault? If you were typing a report in MS Word and it didn't save the file because of a glich who's fault is it??

As far as I know, account status is not online right now to port of my accounts. So once I'm in-game I'll let you know.

Don't know, I'm on a tight budget with three kids. I only play what keeps my interest and I've been playing since NC1 Beta 4, NC1, closed NC2 Beta, and now NC2

And the best sign how unprofessional this company is they also have proved by saying that they won#t replace anyting people lost over one month of playing. Several people lost entire highl lvl/capped characters and EVERYONE who played in the last month of Saturn lost LOTS of high slotted Items that they worked hard for.
Ok, database failure happened, this is the first obvious event to everyone not playing NC that there is something very wrong with that company, but a reroll to a 22 day old backup tops everything. As ZoneseeK said, that is not a professional company... actuall they act like they some part time programmers who just learned C++. And due to their "policy" not to compensate for anything players lost cause of their fault they even more show that they are not willing to act like at least semi-professionals.

They can't replace characters / items lost in the backup crash because they have nothing reliable to say that the people had those items / characters in the first place.

Screenshots can be faked. The backups are corrupt. What can they do? Absolutely nothing!
They extended the time the servers would be up to allow people to sort out their characters before the wipe again.
NC2 has been given a better server-side system of back up and logging so that KK can replace items and chracter data that is genuinely lost to bugs or data corruption.

Anyway you zealots make me laugh with your one line deffence. No one ever has much to say about why the game is great or why the many reviews that show whats bad with the game arn't true. All you have to say is your dumb ha ha some what like the kind of debate you would get from a pre-school class.
Haha! Might have guessed. The people who bother to whine loads like you are usually still happily playing inbetween forum posts.
IMO KK have improved ince I started playing and are doing OK atm. There's some areas they should look at, like not trying to stick rigidly to deadlines like they did with the release on BDoY.

I stoped playing a little while ago they game is dieing.
In the first place.. why don'T they have a usefull item tracking database? Every professional MMORPG has a very well working one.
I actually had a 1slot Holy Lightning and a 1 slot Fire Apocalypse on my APU... and my APU was nowhere near cap... still I lost it. Not to the fault of bugs, not to my fault, but to Reakktors incompetence. How can you tell me that it is "normal" for a MMORPG company to have only 22 day old backups?
Lol.. yeah, they extended NC1 for 2 days.. cool.. like I can retrade my stuff and level everything I did in a month on 2 days.. you gotta be kidding.
And the NC2 item tracking has first to prove it's existance. Honestly.. do you believe everything they tell... regarding to them the server performance should be better than it was in NC1... Funnily I can't even play NC2 without having constant lags and FREs... and crowded areas are a 1-2 FPS slideshow... wow... They really improved the servers... (Note: I could play NC1 without any problems and even really big OP fights I had constant playable FPS. NC2 is same engine as NC1 just some new textures - check the screenshots guys... not the photoshopped ones of Reakktor- and just cause of some new textures the game becomes unplayable?)
and btw. Athon: Itemtracking? Playershops... all was promised for NC2. Heres the statement of Holger Nathrat (CEO):"We already announced a while ago that the player shops would not make it into the release version right away. Another thing we would have liked to have ready at release is the item tracking. In the past, the lack of means to check the whereabouts of items in the game prevented us from offering replacements for lost items. Therefore the item tracking system was planned to be part of Neocron 2 on launch. Unfortunately we had to discover that the system is not working correctly yet. We will have to take some more time to perfect the system."
Dude.. the implementation of the item tracking was the reason they told the players why they were delaying NC2 for another 5 months.. and now they say that it's not not implemented? Same goes to playershops. They tell something and if it comes from Reakktor you know it's not true.
Don't even bother dude. You're talking to an extreme KK fanboy, even tho im sure he KNOWS every respectable mmorpg on the market has an item tracking system, he will still come up with some sort of reason why its OK for KK not to have one.

Ive played on the pluto server for over a year and basically what these pple are complaining about is true. though i havent seen any GM corruption personnaly. The rest is true. The developers could care less about thier subscribers and have proven that time and again. The company (KK) is run by abunch of amatures and has a whopping 2 programmers working for them some where in germany
Ive never seen a game have so many rollbacks and data loss almost constantly nevermind the bugs which are annoying but you can still play ---Its a comedy show---except its so sad. Very many vetran players have left the game since the release of a large patch called NC2 thats sold as an expansion. Almost nothing in the patch works correctly. Just to give you a sample of the amount of players they have lost in may my clan had 50 active players now it has about 6--the rest have gotten fed up with constant screwups and play other games.
Buyer beware
I never had a problem with the support either I once had a bugged char and had to delete it that really sucked but i had that in a lot of other games too ( eg SWG and WOW (4 days ago I lost all my stuff and all my exp )) and I got to play 3 month for free at SWG say just said "Too Bad cant do anything about it" and WOW i didnt even get a answer so i figure the support in NC isnt that bad after all. Thats why I quit SWG and why i most likely will quit WOW.
But I can understand your opinion about NC cause the community sucks and the promised new features are nowhere to be found and that in an expansion that was supposed to be for free.
