Remember Allakhazam? Well their new project is developing TMNT Online. My god and I thought I heard it all. On one hand I want to congratulate them for not making a fantasy MMO on the other I wanna give them 5 across the eyes for picking such a limited world.

I mean honestly where can this go. How long can this last? 4 turtles and a bunch of mutant creatures instead there will be 100s if not 1000s running around. Thanks for kicking my childhood in the balls ZAM, awesome.

Finally, TMNT Online will be the first MMO to entirely scrap the notion of experience points. Players will be able to purchase "turtle power" from the turtle store for a monetary fee; players can then 'use' the turtle power by yelling "Cowabunga" into their microphone to gain bonuses like 'vision,' and 'movement' for five minutes. "We've decided to integrate the same technology used to automate phone based customer service for players." said Andrew Beegle, Executive Producer of TMNTO. "NPCs will recognize and respond appropriately to what players are saying. Unfortunately we'll only be supporting this feature in English and Spanish at launch."

    My first thought was WTH but after reading it sounds like an April Fools Prank to me. Can you really imagine anyone yelling "Cowabunga" into a microphone lol.

     The scary part of all of this is that it seems more real than an April Fool's joke....

     

    I fully expect MMOs of the future to be like this....
