I recently downloaded the free trial for AoC, and my patcher made it to the fourth step, where it always crashes out at different progress points, and I can't finish the update.
Anyone having a similar problem? Any ways of fixing it?

If the settings button is clickable before the crash, then click on that and click on verify/repair to see if that helps.

Simpleconfig.exe is in the Age of Conan folder. Click that and do the verify and repair from there if you can't click settings on the patcher.
I hope that helps some.

Alright, that did fix it.
After I reinstalled, the problem persisted, but after I hit the Verify/Repair, it was good to go. Thanks gentlemen.

I didn't want to create a topic to ask so I thought I would ask here since it's semi-related to the thread.
If I close the update manager while still updating and then bring it up at a later date will it carry on from where I was at? Because I notice underneath the download bar it says "Cancel" and not 'Pause' or something along those lines.
Thanks.
From what I have experienced it should carry on from aprox where you left.

It will start where you left it(it downloads the last file again but they are usually not that big)
