To re-sub or not to re-sub.....

I know...and I'm sorry....it's yet another one of these silly posts for advice, help, guidance, input......yada yada..

    I've been in a quandry recently as many of the mmos I've played have left me wanting more....something closer to my beloved FFXI.  I've tried all the big mmos and some of the F2P stuff....and just have not been too impressed.  I posted in the LFG area and some very kind people suggested I try out Spellborn (thank you btw).   After playing that for a short while and being impressed with the art design and some of the overall design choices...I have once again found myself looking for more.

   I might be unfairly comparing these mmos to a game that should not be used to compare today's mmos....but I really miss FFXI.   I miss the almost forced grouping and miss the cooperation.  I miss the awesome storyline (for the most part) and the unique combat.  I miss the better-than-average community which is so much more mature (mostly) than communities like WoW.  I'm not knocking wow...but personally it bored me and the seemingly underage community made me angry.

  So once again I am faced with deciding between re-subbing or waiting for something better or different.  It just seems like almot ever new game can't quite fill the void that FFXI left behind.  Maybe it's becuause it was my first MMO and I got it on the first day of release for PS2.....but who knows.  

   My char currently sleeps on the Remora server, but I'm wondering about creating a new one on a different server.  Is there anyone who would like to resub or start a new char with me....any groups of people starting new chars and looking for others?  Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.  I'm not looking for flames or silliness....just good ol chatter and advice or help.

I have several players on the pandy server,i am always leveling or doing something.I may miss the odd day,from being too tired to play,but i am usually there lurking somewhere.I am not one to always hang out on my 75 looking posh in Whitegate,so i am always willing to help out new players.I usually duo box so sometimes i actually get into a full party or just trio/quad whatever, i play  any way i feel like ,i dont always follow tradition.You cant always count on me to party everyday,but i am doing some kind of leveling every other day or so.

i was the same way!!! every mmo i tried was ok or god but never filled that void like FFXI i ended up re-activating my account and now im playing again and decided to lvl another job so much fun and i think all you who want a deep fun exciting mmorpg should join it as well....im on the Fairy server with alot of my friends.......this is gonna be my main mmorpg until SE's new one comes out or if Aion is truly what its hyped up to me till then FFXI FTW!!!! ^^

I'd see about getting your old character back and maybe changing servers if you're not happy with your current server when you start up again. On Kujata I see new people all the time in there and actually a few from here have been on it and enjoyed it a bit. Anyway, like I said, try and see about the old account first. It's not a big deal if you don't remember how to play. Everyone gets like that if they don't even play for a month.

Also, don't need a buddy key. Free trial is on the official POL site.
