I understand this game is being run by Acclaim, but not published? What exactly does that mean... how will the updates and bug fixes and such work? Does this mean that the game will be run from other companies, or is it exclusively Acclaim. Is the publishing team have active DEVs, or is this a onetime thing. Just a bit leary, 2moons and 9dragons, weren't the best of managed games -- what will make this different?
Thanks

Publisher means that Acclaim holds the US Rights to TCoS from the Developer SiL who also sold rights to run the game in Europe to Frogster.
Now that being SAID
SiL is EU based which means the EU servers run by Frogster get the patches sooner while US servers get them after the kinks are worked out.
At current BOTH NA & EU servers are running TCoS v1.0.3.2
Acclaim has its own CS squad as does Frogster
HOWEVER, the go to people aka The Devs are SiL and they do on occasion Browse BOTH OFFICIAL forums for the game.
phpbb.acclaim.com/spellborn/index.php - NA Servers Forum
eu-players.tcos.com/forum/forumdisplay.php - EU Servers Forum
Both are pretty frequent on the patching when it happens and both have great support so don't go all getting crazy on us just because Acclaim has some F2P games in their library.
Just sign on Try it out and enjoy yourself, The forums are there should you have any problems
Oh and For No Label crashes just read the Sticky on the forums.
Thank you for posting this aeon, I was gonna say pretty much the same but I just didnt have the energy hehe.
As to what makes this different from any experience regarding CS from their F2P games?
Well, I would hope, t/he fact that is P2P for one.
I think Acclaim are waking up to the fact that we are a different customer base and that we expect different things. Once you pay for a stated service, you expect it.
Let me give you an example of current CS...
On Monday I tried mailing a shedload of mats to a mule, only to have them stick in the mail, so I posted the problem on the bug boards. Within the day Enigma had picked up on it, gone to the EU website to look for answers, come back and posted needed info regrading the problem. Today, Thursday, he posts that it has been resolved. I log in and am able to get the items out.
Thats very decent support imo, and I can be a very hard to please customer sometimes
