COB Characters saved on computer

I have aion installed at my house and my friends. I made my first char at my house, when i went to his house, there were no chars so i made a new one. Came back home, and my first char was still here, but not the char i made at friends house. this is using the same account. The characters must be saved somewhere on the computer you play on. Can anyone figure out where? Hopefully it is only like this for beta or there will be some hacking issues.

Just to make sure, did you choose the same Primary and Secondary servers for both?
Primary: That little black box w/ like 5 chinese charactered server names
Secondary: The ones in English like Ereshkigal, if you put the English patch on.
May want to try replacing the file named PC.pak in Your Aion Folder/data/PC
Without being familiar with the game, there's absolutely no way that they'd let the characters be saved client side. That would leave the game way too open to hacking, as someone could alter the saved character on his computer to have all the best gear in the game.
Sounds like you put your char's on different Regions ( there are 5 of them, North, south,east, and west regions. Each region has at least 10 servers under them).

ah ok that makes sense. Anyone know how to choose again the different regions?
start the client, there are 3 buttons on the left, the top one is for patching and is grayed out if client is up to date. The middle button with the blue chinese text above it is the region setting button (sometimes the region will lose your setting after a patch is installed, so check it after a patch to make sure you are on your region. The bottom button blows up your computer
