Hoping you guys can help me find the game that is right for me
Is there an MMORPG that allows you to be a vampire?, and also has PVP!
I like the look and Feel of DAOC, and the way it plays. Are there any other games out there that has the same ease, look & feel.
thanks in advance.

They really should.
A mmorpg based on something like Vampire the masquerade would be excellent. I am sure this has been thought of before. I know they were working on a console game based on the movie underworld. I could see that premise doing well as a multiplayer game.
wouldn't that be great? A mmo that revolved around vampire and werewolf clan wars.
Brilliant.

www.darkeden.com/en is probably one of your best choices...
it allows you to play as a Vampire or a Slayer (human)...
its not a very well known game, but still has quite a few people playing it...
its also practically 99% based around PvP...
its an alright game... i played it for about 2 weeks during which i had a pretty good time...
its 2D but still, the graphics are fairly nice...
download it, give it a shot... cant go wrong... oh btw, its currently free ^^

That Bloodnation article looks pretty interesting.
Always loved the thought of playing an extremely strong and agile vampire, preying in the darkness fixing to murder a human.

GIOVANI FOR LIFE!!!!!(or death)

- EverQuest has "vampire powers" if you play as a Shadowknight. They have a special move that sucks health from enemies. (Shadowknight is also one of the hardest professions to play in the game, You are KOS almost everywhere heheh.)
- The only thing currently out right now, anywhere close to a MMORPG, that actually has Vampire is *keeps from choaking while saying it.... eehhh*
Race War Kingdoms
Any player race can become a Vampire. Though some races make stronger vampires than others. There are 2 levels of Vampires. And yes, your profession title will actually say "Vampire". You kill without using weapons, without using spells (though you could use health draining spells), without touching the enemy. RWK is a text-graphical MMORPG, leaning more towards being text based. It is perhaps the only MMORPG or "MMORPG" that is both 100% Skill Based and 100% Level Based at the same time. And yes it is free. But players can use real life money to get in game money, and items. Though if free players learn how to play well, they can get the same benifits as players who send in real life money.... it will just take them a bit longer to get the same benifits.
It has plenty of PvP. You can take over other castles, kingdoms, owned by other players. Using catapults, soldiers, cannons, etc... Plus kill other players too. Though player death has zero sting in this game. But losing a kingdom angers other players a heck of a lot, and hurts a heck of a lot!
The reason why I hesitate to mention RWK is because.... it is the test tube bastard baby of ... DAWN. The king, the ruler, of all Vaporwar MMORPGs. RWK .... what more can I say. LOL.

Ya. But I think he wants a game with literal vampires. Not life draining abilities. I mean heck, in that case, you could say Asherons Call 1, and that was very far from normal fantasy based around tolkien, D&D etc. but it did have life magic which allowed you to drain health, mana, etc.
