Will I Need a New Copy of the Game for an Old Account?

CordenCorden Member UncommonPosts: 68

I had an account a while back with all of the expansions, including WotG, and I'm thinking of returning since SE is hosting the Return to Vana'diel Campaign, but I don't have my discs anymore, and I know that you used to have to purchase a new copy of the game if you lost your discs.

But now that the trial software is available, I was wondering if I could just use that client so I can just reactivate my old account rather than having to purchase a whole new copy of the game?

Thanks.

To buy all the data its 15 bucks American.

Yes you gotta buy it if you intend to use any of the expantion areas, other wise you will only have the most basic areas available to you if you just use the free trial client.

You can even have it shipped if its not near you, but yeah no digital downoad ><

That's what I figured. Oh well. I guess I'll just make a new account instead.

I don't think I'm suppose to say this, but...

You can download the game from a torrent or something of that kind. You don't actually need the discs to use your character, especially if you just restored it and all of the expansions are registered to it. I don't know how the trial works so I can't speak on it. You can install the game from any source, but if you're character hasn't registered the expansion and those sources already used it, that's when you're out of luck.

Like previously said you can torrent it.  It's gray area as you did purchase the game (I know someone who had to do this because he lost one of his expansion disks) and just cant find the disks.  However, digital download is available from Direct2Driver.  Below is the link:
