in Aion

Playing the open beta this game is by far the best mmo i have played since the first year of wow!! I can't interact wiht others cause I don't speak cinese but the game is so good I dont need to I am getting that feeling back that wow gave me the first year until bc came which runied the game. Thi is not your typical asian mmo I have yet to grind and have had more quest then i need to get to lvl 10 in 2 hours. Ill prolly play each class to 12 but so far made a spiritmaster and they are pretty bad the pet has no tuant mechanic my only gripe. Most players are assiassians or rangers least played seems to be the mage archtype.But if u havnet gotten to play the open beta do it now this game is a great change of pace the combo chains are just wicked.

     Glad you're enjoying it.

    The game really is good fun and extremely polished, tho one thing I really wish they would do away with is the AFK shops, but I guess it's just part of the whole "asian MMO" thing. I can deal with it, but so hard to see through crowds of shops, eheh. Got me extremely ancy for the NA version, tho. No idea how I'm gonna hold off.

    totally agree with you

    The game is amazing , character creation, graphics, background music...etc. All is awesome.

    Now im at lvl 10, as a result i can fly with my wings. Really fun

    i played this game and also think its very interesting, had hook me, hope it will relaease the NA version soon

     agreed, very solid game. Should be the asian front runner in 2009.

    The AFK shop's are a drag. Korea OB also had a lot of them but in Korea if you where afk for over 2 hours you got timed out of the game, After awhile you started to see less and less AFK shops. I wonder if China has the same set up with the "AFK timed out" ?

    What you're talking about, stayontarget, was included in a patch for the Korean OB, I don't know which version of the game chinese people are using, is there any chanter (20+) on the chinese OB who can tell me if they can have 3 auras on instead of 2? Would help me identifying the game's version.

    They have 3 (my char is a chanter lvl21), so it's not v1.0 ? But again the chinese version does not have the eye color option in the char creator so i'm not sure what version it is.

    I'm still confused as to why people go gaga over the massive Bloom Lighting in Aion that overlaps Lineage II graphics, it's just an outrageous amount of specular lighting...heh.

     

    Even though the graphics are nothing amazing, i'm glad you're having fun :)!

    You're willing to say that there's another game out NOW that has better art then AION?

    That's what drew me in, that's what sold me on the game.

    dont get me wrong, i like aion, i like the art and engine but as a veteran lineage2 player i felt something was lost

    another thing is that even tough you supposedly have limitless character customization options if you look at the starter areas the chars dont look so different at all. i blame that mostly on them not implementing differnt body types and that the looks of a class is pretty much defined by its armor . if you look at chronicles of spellborne i.e. wich has a lot less sliders you will see fat chars, muskle chars and skinny chars in all kinds of different armors and colors even from the start.

    anyway, i agree with the op tough, i had a good time in aion and will most definitly buy/play it (at least till the bots take over)

    this has been the best "beta-feeling" i have had in all  betas i have played

    indeed is the best polished beta i have played, is the first time i have the feeling about being playing a finished game and not a beta

    abyss is an outstanding expercience, missions are pretty nice getting you slowly into aion lore and your race history

    i had some doubts about aion, now the have been cleared, at least for me

    i will be on it once released
