I don't understand I thought there was only one server, your saying there is a seperate US only server? I DL'ed the client direct from spellborn acclaim and it looks to me as if Im playing on the EU servers, Deiquonril - PvP.
That's the NA pvp server. You're in the right place, unless you live in Europe.
See, there's an entirely different publisher and group of servers for the EU. Acclaim has nothing to do with them.
Unless Acclaim has a "Deiquonril - PvP" server also, he's on the EU servers.
The three EU PVP servers are Deiquonril (Int), Jumanvhare(German), and Sarakaril(French).
Both acclaim and EU have the same name PVP server. Also, this post is very immature, its some sort of a technical issue with the game, not a problem of acclaim's. Before you go and whine on a forum, please try updating your drivers, checking compatibility, reinstalling, contacting tech support (or using tech support forums) etc. Just making a post like this is very unproductive.
Heres what happened to me: I played the trial till level cap. I felt the game was interesting and i wanted to continue to play. I puschased coins from Acclaim to buy the game. 1 week after my puchase the game shut down during the log in process (no change to setup on my end) I contacted tech support and after 1 week I recieved no response. I contacted Acclaim about a refund and was given an email run around. I am left with no game to play and no money, lesson learned. Acclaim = bad. TCOS = bad Me = sad
From what you are saying your problem was with Acclaim and you actually enjoyed TCoS enough to want to subscribe. Hope you get things worked out and give it another go.
TCoS is definitely one of the more interesting MMOs to come along in a long time, with some thought put into the combat system where skills can complement and negate each others effects. Quite an eye opener when you finally work out the best sequences and skill combinations against a specific target and your DPS goes through the roof whilst making them hit like a wet flannel.
Anyway, good luck with your next MMO if you don't give TCoS another try
No game runs on every possible computer configuration. Even a highly compatible game like WOW has people who have trouble getting it to run properly, while perhaps 99% of the world has absolutely no problems.
One time WOW stopped working after a patch. After speaking to tech support it turned out that my network card adapter was not compatible anymore, however they had a workaround and got me fixed.
I suspect the OP's problem could be resolved with a bit of research, and yes, I'm afraid PC games do take a bit more expertise to run than a console one does. We who've been playing them for years could tell you many stories of configuiing our "High Memory", or commenting out dll files or other tricks to get games to run on our box.

He was here for a while actually, just maybe not as trigger happy as Sabre gathering up suggestions that will never get implemented.
Funny though how it turned to be a major drama about Sabre geting fired, while everyone completelly missed the big picture - that not only CM got it but also some content writers and programers. Sabre was probably just unlucky to still have trial employment since he was there only for a month or so, so easy to fire. Other than that it pretty much looks like any other major lay-offs of fail mmos - Vanguard, AoC, you name it.

I'm not doubting yu Alen, but I would like to know more about this. Have you got any links to this big picture?
The only reason I am asking is that pretty much EVERY mmo dev shrinks it's team when it goes live (with notable exceptions such as Aventurine with Darkfall) so I would like to see if it was part of the natural process or for more severe financial reasons.

It's logic to downsize your development team if you actually have a finished product.
The Cronicles of Spellborn isn't finished. It has barely any content, nor any longetivity at all to keep people subscribed.
They so far only added one whole dungeon and one worldboss to the game. There is still no PVP nor Arena system in place either.
There were suppose to be many more dungeons, worlds bosses, several PVP arenas (= different Arena PVP maps). All that is still not in the game.
At this moment they are already very slow in getting stuff out... and now firing people doesn't bode well for the future of this game. Meaning even more slowdown for the missing content and features being added.

Well as you can imagine, it is more of a friend of a friend kind of links, plus there were talks in community about quest writer Ariel getting fired on 2 week notice and so on. Point is that when you hear from several people about several people getting fired from the company, it does not look like somebody did bad job or it is some part of the bigger plan, it looks like they are short on cash and fire what they can, because investors got nervous with crappy EU launch.
While every MMO might shrink Dev team post release, I would doubt it is the case with Spellborn, since they had pretty small dev team to begin with. Game end content is pretty much not done yet, so you can't say that devs had no work - more likely money flow from investors shrinked and they downsize to the point that they may still fix few bugs, but the game won't be developed much further (what they can probably sustain from the petty income they get from their small user base). What will follow we may only guess, they as well might just sell whole thing to Acclaim to convert into some item-mall thing, on par with their other games.
Ok then, fair enough. No offense to you, but with no real information or links though I am going to put all this in the 'speculative assumption' file and ignore it. I don't trust anyone that I don't know on the interwebz to accept anything at face value.
Well it is up to you really, but when last time you saw a list and links from the gaming company about them firing people? Fair enough, Vanguard ex-staff made a fancy show in their time on interwebs about their lay-offs by Sony, but Spellborn is not that big of a name to get that sort of drama.
Fact is it is nothing new with Spellborn, if you follow the game from the early days when Khaeon still was the developer and they actually had their own IRC to talk with dev team. You did not hear much then either about the big split and that all Khaeon people left the project, hence the beta was not runing for a year because simply there were not enough devs and project state was miserable (everyone who was in beta 3 can remember horrible ruber-banding issues). You did not get links about concept artist Romano leaving company back then either (what was like a big deal) and other key people from the early days, I may bet you probably won't hear about current devs either.

I like the way he emphasises the DO in the post title.

Who else "got fired"?

So is this game fun ? And yes Customer Service is really bad in a lot of games.
Yes the game is fun, wouldn't know about TCoS CS but then I haven't had to use them yet.
