Im new to the game and still playing the trial but I would like to know every continent has already been explored. I keep reaading about how you can sometimes get lost for its size and so want to know if it is explored 100%

There is rumored to be 4th continent hidden somewhere beneath the ocean, that was never seen. So keep searching

Everything in the game so far that is accessable has been explored by someone.  I think I've seen probably about 90-95% of everything myself.  There are a few areas and some of the newer high level areas I have not been.  But I think I've probably done every dungeon below lvl 45 or so.  There might be a few named and corners I have not explored.

There is in fact a 4th continent but it isn't in the game right now.  When sigil was working on the game they were planning to use this 4th continent as a high lvl area for an expansion.  According to what they said it is extremely large and the artwork for it was done but there were no mobs, quests, npcs etc.

So it is probably not likely we will ever see it.

Silias the lead developer did mention a new higher lvl area that was going to be added after the pantheon revamp that has something to do with giants.  In an interview he sounded pretty excited about some of the new content he wanted to add to the game.

Agreed.  I'm fairly certain there is no hidden 4th continent atm.  However, I've played since release and still stumble around areas and dungeons I had no idea existed.  For example, I was on my way to some hermits house for some high level diplomacy I'd been waiting 1.5 years to do.  On the way, I found a 20ish mid-level dungeon.  I blitz'd it with my Psi (a few deaths), completed quests, killed some named, got some cool drops.  Even though I'm 'aware' of most dungeons, I probably haven't been in half of them yet.

not really nice to know but wont make me dislike the game. It would be nice if they do release this new area you guys talked about. Make it bigger than all 3 continents together so players have to spend months exploring it.

The world is pretty big. I can easily see someone getting lost. Especially if you head to an area and realize a mountain range is in the way. Then you have to find you way around.

One of Vanguard's strengths is its huge world. "If" you like that type of thing.

I do, and keep a vanguard account for when I want to have a game that requires exploration as well as taking a while to get anywhere.

I have been playing over 2 years (admittedly < 20 hours  a week), I have 7 alts and I still have new personal discoveries.  I am very happy with this game and have never said "I am bored".
