I followed the instructions for inquiry about a warning that is completely bogus, and an entire day has passed and the simple inquiry I issued regarding it has gone unanswered. Why? This is no way to run a message board; it's a great way to ruin one.

Not even an automated message to placate you a little and buy some time? You'd think they'd at least provide that. 24 hours may not be all that unusual, depending on the staffing level. I'd be more concerned if it were over 48 hours.
Nope. No response, automated or otherwise. It should not take more than a day to respond to an inquiry asking why I got a warning. If it's a legitmate warning, it should take only moments after a mod/admin looks at it to clarify. Hence my "suggestion".
Who are you sending them too?
I've been waiting for about a week for a reply to some warnings I got. Sent to community@mmorpg.com.
Been getting temporary bans for no REAL reason, too.

Please keep in mind that the only thing moderators can respond to are reports on threads. Anything aside from that, any inquiries directed at community@mmorpg.com are beyond us to view or respond to, and as such the amount of people that are going to see your complaint is limited. You also have to keep into consideration how much traffic the site has, and as a result, how many users send in complaints, inquiries, thoughts and comments, you name it.
You aren't being ignored.
Keep in mind that if you have received a temporary ban or warning that your account history is taken into consideration before the ban or warning is issued. Any previous infractions (we go off a 3strike rule) play part in the methods of actions taken by MMORPG.com staff. If you've been guilty two previous times for rather serious trolling issues and then are reported, and guilty of another one, regardless of the severity, you're probably going to recieve a warning or temporary ban depending on the situation.
(Sorry for the late response, I could have SWORN I replied to this email a couple weeks ago, dunno what happened...)
Indeed, community@mmorpg.com emails come to me, not the moderators. Also, when you reply to the emails you get notifying you of a warning/ban, they also come to me, not the moderator who took action against you.
I get through the emails as quickly as I can, given there are quite a few more of you guys than there is of me. Some times I get a couple days behind, but overall I stay pretty much on top of the queue. I try to respond to just about every email I get, with a couple of exceptions. If you feel the need to come out the gate blasting and cursing me, detailing where I should go or what sexual acts I should perform on myself, then I don't bother. However, if your email is civil and polite, and you request that I look into your ban/warning I'll do just that. And I'll get back to you about it.
Now all that being said, on the average day I get several hundred emails, on "bad" days I get over a thousand. Sometimes emails get lost in the tubes. If you email me and don't hear back within a couple days (assuming the above stipulations) shoot me another. But don't spam my email because you haven't gotten a reply after 15 minutes or at 3am in the morning. I don't sleep much, but occasionally I do need some.
