I am having trouble connecting and starting the game, it bugged me about a gateway.. then it said some Robotroll got in the way or something... I am clueless anyone care to help me?

All you need to do is disconnect your internet and reconnect. This will give you a new dynamic IP address and then you can get another key for her.
They do the one-key-per-IP stuff because they don't want people to hoard keys, but what do they want you to do when people share a connection?

My 7yr old daughter is over the moon this morning, got the beta key and setup the whole thing and created her a nice pixie character all before she woke up this morning, the wife won't be happy as I also put it on her laptop so that our little girl can pester her mum rather than me to go on it

I had a quick spin myself, surprised the heck out of me how friendly the game appears to be, nice and colourful for an MMO aimed at a younger audience and very easy to handle.
Ofc I told my daughter that if she likes it she will have to choose between her subscription for Wizard 101 or Freerealms, I think Freerealms might just win this one.
Made my niece an account to let her play and we keep getting the same thing, hope they fix it soon, been waiting most of the day.

I had that same problem, all I did was restart the whole program again and I got in, I didn't get that issue though when I put it on my wifes laptop.

how do you restart it, all I can do is refreash the page, I get my login and it downloads the game again, but when I press play, I get the error message.

I got a feeling its that the servers are down when you get the message, so just do something else for awhile then try again. And I didnt know you had to start the game from the webpage that was kinda new to me also
Bascially all I did was come out of the webpage where you download the program and just re-enter that website again and relog in and restart.
The servers are not down, my daughter is playing the game as we speak on her laptop.
There are some posts on this issue on the official forums with some more work arounds, $oE are aware of the problem and have already responded a few times with things to try.
Well it looks like Wizard 101 is out the window where my daughter is concerned, the reasons are that she has seen her big brother play WoW and she has always wanted to play, when she has played she just hasn't been able to communicate as quickly with other players, which at 7 is understandable.
Freerealms has the WoW look, even more cartoony ofc which my daughter absolutely loves, and she is loving the mini games, the pets and the combat, which is alot more fluid than Wizard 101.
There is alot more open space aswell to run about in and explore, and I feel happy for her to enjoy the game more than seeing her try again with WoW, she would only end up on ppl's ignore list due to the fact she isn't as quick in the game.
She already wants us to subscribe her to the game, as shame as that means no more Wizard 101 and I know she enjoyed lvling her character, but Freerealms is hitting all the right buttons for her.
I suspect $oE have got it right for a change with this game, I know it will have it's haters but my daughter does not read any forums (thank god) and she has already made up her mind that the game is the best thing since sliced bread

Now all I've got to do is make sure she doesn't spend too much time on there like I used to with EQ1
all the keys were out in just 1 day?!!!!!
