Running academy for new Lineage players
Hello I play on ARIA server and am training a few new players in the ways of Lineage 2. I am always willing to help new players get started in Lineage. I am in a Top legit clan that has daily groups and has alot of experienced people to help answer questions. I am making this post as I have noticed that the "New Player" posts seem to be on the rise.
I just want anyone looking at this to know that L2 is not a game that offers instant satisfaction. It requires commitment, skill, loyalty to your Clan and good music to grind with to make it L2. You will most likely not even see real player until level 20 or so. To someone who has never played before this can feel like a game breaker for them and they quit before even seeing any of the game. The reason for this is that L2 has been out 4 years now and players have been working on ONE character, and mabey some buffers, since launch and still are not even level 80. The level cap in L2 is 85 and it is nearly impossible to reach without cheating.
Cheating in L2 is rampent so you need to know this going in. Adena buying and botting are at the top of this list. It dose not really effect those of us that play legit, the way the game was ment to be played because everyone on the server knows who the cheaters are and we ignore them and let them be "UBER". They key to L2 is Clans, Clans and Clans. Clan leaders in L2 are basically playing an RTS as they are deeply involved in drama, negotiations, PR, preperations for seiges, recruitment, etc. Get yourself into a good Clan and the whole aspect of this game will change, you will be kicking yourself in the pants for not playing eariler.
If anything I have typed scares you then L2 is prob not the game for you but if you want to feel like you have accomplished something in a MMO and love to have real friends in game then this may be what you have been missing . BE VERY READY for a long hard road if you want to play L2 with the players that started 4 years back.
Is lineage 2 fun? HELL yes, it is the best MMO I have ever played to date and I have played nearly all of the big named mmos at end game. I always find my back to L2 becasue I miss the Clan, I miss the feeling of accomplishment that is Lineage 2.
Make a character on ARIA and PST me for some ingame lessons.

thx for this post...i've been really bored lately and even though i don't have a ton of time on my hand i've been wanting to get into mmo's again. I used to play L2 when it first came out but dropped it to play WoW i think it was, or maybe something else. I loved shadowbane and its sad that it fell apart due to a lot of issues.
I'll try playing tonight maybe while i'm stuck here at work but i dunno how long it is gonna take me to download so we'll see...

Lineage 2 has no auction house so it still uses the old method of player shops. I have my shop set up overnight and while I am at work so thats where all that time comes from. I probaly should close xfire when I am not actually playing though.

L2 was the first MMO i ever tried, it was a trial way back when it first came out. L2 is the reason i play mmos today, even tho i only played it for like 2 days. Just the concept alone of lvling a character and getting gear and exploring made me fall in love with the mmo genre. After your description of the game today im glad i didint get to involved with it, but i would recomend this game to anyone just because after all my years of mmos, i still remember this one as my first, so at least i can say it made an impression.....

i missed l2 since i was playing other games, now is the only game i play.
i would really recommend this game to ppl right now, gracia has introduced some features for newcomers that really makes your leveling not so hard as it was
find a nice academy is definetly the way to enjoy l2 right now, the only fault i find right now on l2 is economy, prices are really high and veterans are full of top equip ...
Does L2 have specific euro servers or just general ones as I was thinking of trying the game at last?

Ruckup, terrific sounding offer. I've been wanting to try the game again ever since WoW started getting old for me. I played private servers WAY back like C5 or something so I have half an idea of what goes on ingame. I'm just trying to find a trial instead of having to pay for it just to try it, hopefully your offer will stand for a bit while I deside to buy it or not.
