Surprising no one after last month's teaser trailer, BioWare officially announced the upcoming Mass Effect 2 early Tuesday morning.

Not much new information was offered by the reveal, though the development house did say that the game is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 and PC in "Early 2010."

"We’re going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story," wrote Dr. Ray Muzyka, BioWare CEO, in the official press release

 

 

 

So i'm happy about that but

 What about the movie I hope it' Not Just a Rumor

I think a movie would be awesome, because mass effect has a good storyline IMO.

Mass Effect rocks big time. Mass Effect 2 will be even better.  I thought Mass Effect would make a great mmo but I think it is highly unlikely now with Bioware making The Old Republic.

I'd never ever watch a Mass Effect movie, the story when you create your own Shepard is just so tailored to your experience I wouldn't be able to stomach this beloved story with a John Shepard for instance. The game does a good job at creating personalities for all characters I'm not sure they'd be able to find actors that would please everyone for these roles.

Very much pumped for ME2 though!!!!
