About RAM upgrade

right now, i have a pc 333 DDR 512MB RAM, i was thinking about u/g to 1G, but i heard somebody said 1G RAM and 512MB doesn't have much difference.

so i have 2 questions:

1. should i u/g to 1G and why?

2. anyone palyed EQ II beta, can you tell me if 512 mb ram can run this game smoothly.

Comparing 512 to one gig is like comparing a grenade to a nuclear warhead. Upgrade to run future games smoother.

I would without a doubt upgrade to 1gig.

EQ2 will still run smoothly on lower settings with 512mb, but 1gig will help ALOT.

Having recently upgraded to 1 gig from 512mb, I can tell you that it is well worth the effort.

My games have smoothed out a great deal, as well as allowing me to increase my graphics with no problem.

 I can't comment because of the NDA. But i'll say what SOE has already stated. 512MB is the MINIMUM requirements for EQ2. 1GB will certainly help. That's why I will be purchasing another stick next week.

EverQuest II will rock.
