Combat window text option features - question

This might sound like a weird question but I wanted to know if anyone tryed to modify the options related to the combat chat box.

I would like to know if possible actually to see 'You hit for 20 damage', 'you been hit for 25 damage'. I really dislike floating damage. I am completely aware most mmo have floating damage and unfortunately really limited combat chat option capabilities. As an example in lotro you cannot configure different color for 'you hit' and 'you been hit'.

This feature is quite useful when you want to 'analyze combat', let's say you want to see how the random factor play an important role in any given game. i.e. missing 5 times in a row.

However the term 'analyze' here is probably misplace, as most game have eliminated such a need for details, however I still like to check everytime. Probably because it reminds me of everquest, who knows.

I am actually playing the chinese version in chinese, attempting to learn the language at same time but taking me forever to decode one sentence as expected.

There's a lot about this game that seems to bug me, like having to middle click to look around oppose to the usual left-click.

I would expect to find your problem fixed with an easy UI addon. So, you'll probably have to put up with it if you want to play another version.

Good question, I will have to play around with the chat tab's and find out. I know you can add new tabs and modifiy the Chat tabs but not sure if you can get the damage to record in the chat window.
