There are times I just dont understand "YOU" moderators on this site.
Im not a trouble maker but ever so often you all do things that are either A-NITPICKING or B- Dont make any sense whatsoever.
So currently my thread that asked about HOW to download the english patch or where has been deleted. And since it has been deleted from this part of the site, Im responding to it here.
How did I break your overly picky rules this time?
Its not illegal to play a game in China.
Its not illegal to pass links around on a site.
As far as I know its not against your rules of conduct either...pssst I just read them, again.

If I remember right, NCsoft has asked all sites to remove any "guides" showing how to get into the Chinese game.

I think it comes down to the fact that NC doesn't want players to do this and therfore this site tries to respect the wishes of the game company.

the problem is not to enter chinese servers, it is the english patch ncsoft do not approve
Exactly. Becuase it's not an official patch and they don't want players judging their game on it. Already I see players saying that the game is not translated well or that the translations don't continue throughout all levels.

When you talk about illegality, it looks like you're focusing primarily on the major infraction section. If you read the medium infraction section, you'll see the following:
"# Unofficial Servers
* Discussing or advertising unofficial servers or emulators for MMOs is not permitted on the MMORPG.com forums. These servers are against the Terms of Service of the original game, and violate the intellectual propriety rights of the game's publisher and developer.
# 3rd Pary [sic] Programs
* MMORPG.com does not allow forum discussion concerning programs that go against a game's EULA. This includes, but is not limited to, third party programs to automate gameplay or gain an unfair advantage over other players. Please check with your specific game's EULA for more details on what is or isn't allowed."
Are you 100% positive that your post did not violate the 3rd party program medium infraction rule? You might want to give it a little more thought before you post that what they did makes no sense.

Try thinking about what a third party application is. There are two components: it is an
- application that is made by a
- third party.
Are you saying that an unofficial patch is not an application or that it is not made by a third party? It doesn't make sense to argue that it's not an application, and if it's unofficial, then it's quite likely that it may not have been developed by the creators or publishers of the game, making it third party.
There's also more to the rule than just third party applications. If you take a look, what mmorpg.com is really getting at is that it doesn't want the site to be used to encourage the violation of EULAs.

But regardless of what NCsoft wants...they havent forbidden anyone from doing it (blocking IPS, bans etc).

But again, I don't think it has anything to do with them not wanting players from overseas accessing the game (though I do wonder about the trouble people could get into with emulating chinese I.D.'s) and more to do with the fact that they don't want this english patch to be given to the general populace as it was never intended to be given to the general populace.
So if you were fluent in chinese and could play then I don't think there would be an issue with you posting "hey guys, I want to purchase the chinese version of the game, does anyone know what the best site is to do this?"

If you don't get an app from the company putting a game out, you should be skeptical and consider the EULA implications.
and that clears that question up.
Blocking IPs is not possible, what If I was born in China but had to move to Europe, shouldn't I play with my mates?
