Wonder how they are going to get around the copyright infringment issue with their game's name in the US? Should be interesting to see. I guess they could host the game in another computing powerhouse like Mexico.

BTW haven't watched the out of date Darkfall website for ages. When did they put up that quote? Hell they have been promising a US server since 2003 so whatever.

Unfortuneatly, we both know that is up there for "good feeling" effect and not truthful, whatsoever..!

 

Aventurine does not have the funds to open a second server, because there is not a large enough fanbase to support it. So the answer is NO, there will never be a NA Darkfall server.

Ever thought that maybe alot of people are waiting for the introduction of a new server before trying DF? Maybe they prefer to start anew, on a server not plagued by the massive exploiters who got to macro their hearts away, hack, dupe, and whatever else it took to amass a fortune and a small army.

I can safely assume that there is quite a few people out there just waiting for a new server. If they can balace the market aniticipation versus server costs, I'd say they have a chance to be semi-successful with the launch of a new server.

But from past history one can also safely assume that AV doesn't have the business savy to pull it off without a hitch.

 

 

Only time will tell....
