Buy the parts and construct it yourself and save a crap load of cash, that's my advice. Those builds off newegg are all obscenely overpriced too, I could assemble them myself for 30% less minnimum and have better parts! If you've never done it before and are wary find someone that does, if you have access to the internet from another comp use these forums if you need advice.

Disclaimer: When I say obscenely overpriced I mean compared to what it costs me to construct it by myself, not compared to similar deals on the market.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

That's a completely different sentiment than needing to be tech savvy and one that I can accept.

Not only the not technically savvy, but some folks just don't want to. I fall into that category, just not wanting to.

For myself, I'll build, but for the wife and kids, nah. I'll buy an off-the-shelf job just for the support and warranties. Untill they reguire more from their "rigs", that's the way it will be.

I'm in the camp that doesn't have the time or the skills, I mean my current rig is one I pieced together a few years ago, but honestly it's buggy as heck. I just don't want to deal with all of that... Especially since I'm a parent now.

So honestly for the price, what do you guys think, shabby, or not too shabby?

    Thanks.
