So I would like to know, how you know all these people are gone from CME.

100 Developers at CME? You've finally gone over the edge into full FanOri mode haven't you? Whoever told you that there are 100 DEVs at CME still working on SGW is either a liar or a deluded FanOri. I know you believe that CME are going to finish this game around early 2010 at the latest, or atleast that's what you claim on the official forums. However in reality it probably won't happen and I think you need to question the validity of your sources at Firesky if they are giving these kind of numbers for Developers employed.

I don't think they even had 100 developers before the layoffs anyway, considering missed deadlines and inability to deliver on anything I'd be shocked if they had more than 50 real developers (not BS jobs like community manager, PR bitch or tea boy ect..) at anytime! If I were to guess at a number I'd say that there are no more than 20 real Developers going into CME to work on a regular basis now. That's just a guess and my opinion though, maybe there are 100 DEVs working day and night to launch SGW and a 6 month (so far) media blackout with layoffs and missed payrolls and pyramid schemes and audits, right?

As I've mentioned, I've been tracking logins to the forums by CME staff, and started doing so on a daily basis since 2/24, a total of 76 days (including weekends, so that's about 11 weeks or 55 workdays).

    • 6 Devs have logged in 29 days or more (so better than 50%): Zoeff, AJZ, AnimusSonitus, TaiPan, Arkan_Wolfshade (who is actually no longer with CME, so I'm not counting him), tkksnow (who disappeared for almost 3 weeks in Apr around the start of the "haven't gotten paid" site), and Ccorbett. Three of these are community managers.
    • I might add another to the above, as Pyremind is back at CME now.
    • There are 15 others who have logged in 4 days or less, and of these, 2 are community managers. 8 of these have only logged in one day.
    • There was a new addition, TheGiftedMonkey, who was created on 3/31.
    • There is one user I can't track well, Khestral, as he hides his login status. But he does post regularly enough to count him as active.

Thus, from forum activity, it seems like there are only 5 active devs (not CMs), and maybe 13 more who are alive and sometimes check in.

Of course, some might check in without logging in, and I can't tell that. But if you log in at all, I would think that you would log in every time...

    100 devs at CME, LMAO.

Yeah those companies like most have money and 100's of employees working on a project. But those companies also had/have income while developing their MMO's. CME is down to 5 or 6 volunteers that are keeping the seats warm until they find a way to pick up more money for development (which won't happen).

Look people. When the shite hit the fan at Sigil, the shape of the game was actually pretty good for a game that had 12 more months in development and it would have been ok if McQuaid was all there and they had just a bit more money. From the earliest stage of beta i could log in almost everyday and play. Of course it was buggy as all beta's are and it's well know it had major performance issues, But after about 9 months it was in good enough shape that it could actually be released out of necessity even if it was bug ridden and virtually unplayable for 80% of the people that bought it.

SGW was nowhere near that point when they ran out of money.

SGW wasn't even near a beta state. They may have claimed it was in beta but it was still in alpha. The game needed at least 2 more years of serious hardcore development and testing by a large team.

Take it for what it's worth. It might not be officially dead but... it's not moving much and i don't see any breath on the mirror.. SOE owns the only sarcophagus for MMO's and they aren't sharing...

Seriously, these guys paid for commerical time and race team sponsorship with a game in an alpha state while letting their employees go unpaid and knowing that the investor money had dried up.. I don't know what they were thinking but it's best this game died when it did because with management like that all it would have done is piss off the community. CME makes SOE look like geniuses when it comes to game development.

I was only comparing known people that worked at the company in 2006/07 vs. who left and who is still there (if you would have read what I posted with the links to those lists).

CME is a revolving door and I wasnt trying to make a list of developers that are working there now..... just comparing who was there in 2006 and who's left from that list.

Anyway, who cares if Wendy Dickerman or Kevin Balentine are still there, it's not like they are real devs and can get the game out.
