New monarchy forming on the new pvp server for vets only.

A group of about 4 friends, including myself, are planning on starting new accounts once the new pvp server opens. We all used to play Darktide intensively back in the glory days (beta - 2 years ago) and quit due to RL strains/frustration with the way the game was headed. Seems lately like the game is shaping up, and with the new expansion on the way, we decided to give it another whirl... hopefully it can live up to the old memories it gave us back in the day.

Anyways, we will be called Shadows of the Past (dedicated lovingly to our favorite patch... also kinda fits our situation) and our doors are open to anyone in a similar situation as us. The monarchy will be honor PK, so those who like to camp shoushi west day in day out need not apply, we are looking for skilled, mature, and intelligent people only.

If interested in joining, send an e-mail to c.g@charter.net. No rush though... server wont be here till February at the soonest...

    hey im not really a darktide Vet, but i do like pvp and i do hate shoushi campers, i got a level 69 ua rite now and was workin on an archer, im gonna stop playin tho till the expansion, you should have like 20 members or 30 members tops and have all something similer in name, like collectives monarchy with all the borgs.

    Yah down with soushi campers.  I started a mage on Darktide and started in soushi, bad idea, but he made it to level 14 with only a few deaths from level 126's.

    There's really nothing wrong with shoushi campers. They give new players something to hate, and, provided they arn't total wimps about it and quit, a reason to continue playing in order to someday best their antagonists. Believe me, nothing feels better than killing some guy who used to rape you over and over again when you were low leveled. Every newb griefer has their place... we just arn't looking for any.

    I agree fully on what you said.  And the fact that I made it to levle 14 by myself on that server amazed me considering the other attempts I made.  And i even won a few evenly leveled duels =).  Had some good times in AC but the game just doesnt appeal to me after a while.  I feel like I over play the game and then when I dont I feel like im getting so left behind.  I hate going to the market and see a bot selling 20 small fragments and for more money than I could imagine.  2 things come to mind when I see this. 

    1) How did they get all those shards

    2) If its that easy to get em why are they selling em for so much

    Right now, it is "IF" there is another server it would be PK one.

    So, am hoping for those that love PvP, with expansion comes a new one for those wishing to either try or start again with an even playing field.

    however, unless some changes are made fast (Think the new Verdantine Server) there will be 126's in 18 days again.

    Turbine said new billing/log in come end of Summer, finally they are just starting that but with new accounts only.

    They also said expansion first quarter, I will make bets it happens at end of March or perhaps even April.

    Yeah i agree with all that.  BTW do you know any where I can find some eye candy from the new expansion?  Or is there not anything out yet.

    Well the developers had to make a report to turbine and its for download on the website just I cant seem to get the download to work at all.  Its about almost a meg of information but when I try to download it just tells me file not found or connection failed.

    What do you mean that the developers had to make a report to turbine? Turbine is the developer, they aren't a publishing company or whatever you may be thinking. If anything it is called the AC Dev Team, but they are still employees of Turbine and still work at Turbine.

    Anyway, the AC dev team made a .pdf presentation for anyone to download. IT shows a couple of comparisons of a old and new reedshark, face of avatar and what armor "Could" look like in the expansion. Plus some information on what will be added and changed. For example they will be moving the level cap up to 275. You can get the presentation here.
