I am not sure as to the exact size of the client but I am going to guess around 10gigs. So if you could get a 16gig thumb drive you should be good to go.
It's a Jeep thing. . . _______ |___| \_______/ = |||||| = |X| \*........*/ |X| |X|_________|X| You wouldn't understand
The problem is not if the game fits in the stick, it will probably fit in one of 8 or 16 gb. The problem is the data access speed of the stick, you will probably experience a lot of freezes while the game loads data.
It's bulkier and slightly more expensive than an equivilent USB key but because it's a SSD it's performance will be significantly better and the MTBF is well over a million hours due to better memory chips/write cycle manangement.
Of coarse you could just get an 80GB 2.5" USB HDD for a third the price, but that wouldn't be as cool
A small warning here, tho there is no reason you can't play from a thumb drive, they have a flaw. Flash drives can sustain only a limited number of write and erase cycles before failure.

It's true, but that limit wouldn't come for like 10 years. It wouldn't be any different than using one as a readyboost drive permanently. After 10 years I'm sure you won't be playin Aion anymore... Nor using a USB 2.0 Flash drive.
Edit: Your biggest enemies would be Fragmentation and Access speeds.
LineageII | LoTRO | RFO | 9Dragons | Aion | Perfect World | Ether Saga | Dungeon Runners | GuildWars 1 and 2 | Hellgate London | tCoS | Warhammer | AoC | Tabula Rasa | SWTOR youtube.com/gcidogmeat
Edit: Your biggest enemies would be Fragmentation and Access speeds.
The horrible read speeds coupled with the lag incurred from china servers would be horrific. I wouldn't advise Flash Drive Aion for anything but crafting.

My client folder is 16gb. You would need at least a 32gb stick for any updates you have would send you over the top.
My Aion folder is 8GB, you can play pretty mush any game on a USB drive

16? mine is only 8gb

This hit the nail right on the head. Also the read/write time of a usb storage device is horrible compared to a SATA or SCSI HDD.
My theme song.

I'd recommend something like this:

Really folks. This "is it the size of the stick or how well it performs" debate is getting really old.
Sheeesh
Everyone knows you should have both a really large stick and one that performs extremely well.
Anything else and you might as well be playing World of Warcraft.
